It's Good To See That Normal Service Has Been Resumed

and in my opinion a great deal of credit has to go to Annis and the team of mods who work hard to keep the excellent standards of this messageboard intact.

Over the last few weeks I have been saddened to see what I believe has been a deliberate attempt by some former posters to destroy any reasonable discussion or debate on matters concerning our football club. The worst culprit is of course the disengenuos Roath Magic who has been virtually taking over threads and stopping any attempt at reasonable debate. He is not the only one but, in my opinion, over the last couple of days good threads and open debate has returned to the board and that has to be a good thing.

The last thing any of us want is for this board to become an "Old Boys Club" and boring like Not 606 where let's face it the standards are so PC it's a must read for insomniacs.

Messageboards need to be lively with lots of healthy debate and good humoured banter like this messageboard used to be. In my opinion it's massively positive that 4 hours after posting a thread about Inter Milan bidding 10m euro or pounds for Medel the thread hasn't been overrun by trolls effectively stopping any worthwhile discussion, we've even had a "Mini / Interesting Update" or whatever Annis called it.

All positive stuff in my opinion and well done Annis and his team of mods for cleaning the board up.

Thanks Gary, Weve cleaned up the Forum, banned about 7 posters, many who had 3 and 5 aliases each, who just seemed intent on wrecking every topic/thread and just snipe and belittle others.

Posters should be able to debate without name calling and ridiculing of their posts and thats what was being done, very sad.

agree anything to do with money was a virtual no go on this board before his demise! it is nice to not have to struggle thru endless stats or % that baffle everyone.

Fully agree with castle blue ,the forum needed a good clear out of idiot posters who weren't interested in debate ,everyone is entitled to an opinion and view and they don't deserve to be bullied by keyboard warriors who contribute nothing to the topic

This forum is the best place to discuss Cardiff City and other football matters but Gary you are correct and it is the best thing we have done on this site for a long time.

It is a better place now without certain posters.

I stopped posting because of all the name calling and abuse by the little group of bullies, so glad the forum has been tidied up and got rid.

Agree, good to see Roath Magic has been dealt with, contributed nothing apart from attempting to build himself into some kind of font of knowledge that spoke the ONLY truth. A very annoying character
As we are not rivals this season, I would also love to see all Jacks banned, there is no need to have them on here, we have no interest in each other, so all banter will just turn into petty argument, so best to stop it before it starts

I tend to agree. Not a patch on the last moderator! Lets hope he leaves the multis behind while he's a mod eh.

This is a good thread to point out that myself and Annis came to an agreement that modding wasn't for me, I tried it, I didn't like it. I would like to thank Annis for the opportunity though, it is always something I wanted to try. I can confirm that Annis does not give us any orders on how to behave, what opinions to hold and that the only other account the mods have been given was "Latest news". We were given total freedom on what we said on here. Just wanted to put a few myths to bed.

Its definately been a difficult several weeks for the messageboard, It always goes a bit crackers in the close season but this has been a particularly bad spell, I feel the mods/admins have done a reasonable job in getting things back on track.

Barry Chuckle a mod???? I am totally flabbergasted by that decsion! I have never come across in all my time as a user of this messageboard a more patronising or hypocritical member of the board, he is without a doubt one of the small handful of people on the board who should NEVER be made a moderator (in my opinion)

I would go as far as saying, I think the board would been better off having Roathmagic as Mod than Barry Chuckle, and I have never been a fan of Roathy and am glad to se the back of him, thats how much of a calamitous decision I think this is!

Just to add to my above post, I have no issue with Chuckles as a general user, even though I very much dislike his manner of posting, its just I feel he is an absolutely dreadful choice for mod.

Massive improvement. Even the headlines are now relevant.

Please let us know if hits are affected. I think more posters will return now there are better headlines and less squabbling, instil the next squabbling ends.

As ive stated already im no Chuckles fan, but Annis has made a fair point, he deserves his opportunity to moderate, I had mine.

We will wait and see how he adapts to his new role on the board.
