What a joke of a release clause ,well done malky and Moody f*cking mugs
I know I'm only posting what we already know but it's a new link and it more or less confirms he's a gonner.
Clearly states Malky agreed to the release clause too, interesting as some on here said that those sorts of decisions were nothing to do with him.

wasn't a pop at you just makes me sick that malky and Moody got defended when the club sacked them but they clearly fucked up ,the club trusted them with football matters and it it wrong for them

Simon Lim over saw and wrote up every contract while he was CEO on Tans behalf,a fact, pity they never got rid of him a lot sooner.
I'm sure now all the future contracts will be all in the clubs favour that have been drawn up and signed so far for next season

Grow up. Everyone should know by now that the manager and head of recruitment have no involvement with the contract negotiations. The manager approaches the board with a list of targets, the board then give an answer. As Annis says, if a player gets approached, it's the Chief Executive who oversees the negotiations. Unfortunately, Simon Lim messed up badly.

Campbell joined Cardiff in a £650,000 move from Sunderland almost 18 months ago when former manager Malky Mackay agreed the release clause.

He's played here & he's done well and we've sold him for more than we paid for him. Thanks for the memories Fraizer.

This is spot on.
When we signed him it was also a bit of a gamble after the amount of time he was injured for.

Seems like everything is being done to stop mistakes like that happening again, Dalman already looks like a more clued up option and I can't see the same mistakes happening again.
I think we got our moneys worth out of him, his goals got s promoted and he had a good crack at keeping us up but tactics coupled with other factors like service and quality of players around him meant he was never going to get us the goals we needed to stay up.
I think he will get replaced in Janary by a multi million pound panic buy and end up back in the championship next summer with a Leeds/Bolton/Blackburn.

Simon Lim was inexperienced in this sense but had the 'advice' of Malky and Moody to help him with the deals, yeah Lim was more trouble than he was any help(did he actually offer any) but you can't say it was just him who signed it off. Moody and Malky took charge of the deal.

Tan appointed Simon Lim to over see everything, Lim did write all the contracts up and Lim was Tans eyes and ears.
I am glad Lim has gone, he should of gone last year, but I suppose better late than never.

the club were very naive and tan too trusting to malky Moody and lim ,we were not professional enough for the premiership and hopefully if we go up next season we will have sorted it out
