I do understand why people get fed up of the media/tv all for England though and also I do respect other peoples different views on it.

I've gone the other way, I've put my whole 5 pound free bet on Uraguay, I thought Suarez's return would be key and he could carry the team like he did with Liverpool in Rodgers 1st season.

Always said they would be lucky to get out of this group, average team with no world class players. Their defence is absolutely terrible, I don't know how Johnson is so highly praised

Why did I bet on England?!? Why oh why! I knew they would lose but still went for them. Oh well Colombia cut my losses and only lost £5 today after a win of £62 yest, I am around evens on this World Cup atm. That includes an ongoing bet of neymar top scorer

I don't agree. I think that they underperformed woefully in both games. They dominated both games but were naive in defence and balls in the final third weren't good enough. They have the players who are good enough to win, but lost both games when they were there for the taking.

To be honest Annis, I nearly did England to win with both teams scoring tonight, which I think was nearly 4/1. That was until I found out Suarez was starting mind.

I agree with that as I never thought they were good enough to win it, but they are good enough to get past the group stages, they just made a few simple very costly mistakes.

I think 28/1 was a terrible price when Chile were 40/1 in comparison. Chile proved before the world cup they are a better team by outclassing England at Wembley. But obviously, the gullable English keep backing England while dismissing superior opposition which is why England's odds are always way shorter that it should be.

Horrible thing is they were f**king dire in 2010 WC and scraped through, played way better lately and just can't take their chances, future is bright with the youngsters out or through this will be a learning curve for the likes of Sterling, Barkley and so on.
