Tan will blame everyone but himself and we can go on about who accepted the rebrand all we like, but he is the sole reason for the mess. Yes, he rescued the club from almost certain disaster but that doesn't give him the right to destroy our identity as a club. His petulant delaying of any talks on this issue until Cardiff are re-promoted makes no business sense.
The sooner the badge and shirt are reinstated, the sooner he will make some money!!

Barely though, you don't see them paraded on show, so how can anyone say the major retailers have had their fingers burnt if they don't advertise the products? It's their own fault if they don't advertise the products. Not to mention we have a club shop in Queens Arcade as well where people can buy things. I didn't see our shirt on the Sports Direct website either, so this story really is a non story. Our debut season and we have had to compete with the ongoing support of the bigger teams. As mentioned, we are not a city/team that buys many replica shirts, whereas fans of the biggest clubs who support their teams in their armchair will be more entitled to buy a replica shirt since they don't go to as many games as a fan of Cardiff who would rather spend their money going to games.
Not to mention if Sports Direct is the major retailer then they don't sell ALL Premier League shirts so again the headline is semi-incorrect.
I'm not denying that our shirt is probably OUR worst-selling shirt in the club's history but it's clutching at straws really. We should only really care of the sales from our own club as again we aren't a club who prides ourselves in replica shirts and we are a club that likes to remain exclusive on selling our own merchandise

This is very simple: our shirts were the worst sellers in the PL last year AND our club's worst selling shirt.
You say Cardiff fans aren't known for buying shirts? Where's all the BLUEBIRD pride in identity coming from then?
The truth is that if we had BLUE shirts with BLUEBIRD badges on, they would sell.
We supposedly have a potential fan base of about 1 million but less than 30k seats (last year) so we should have plenty of armchair fans wanting to buy. Why didn't they buy? Because the shirt wasn't popular, end of chat.
Why is this a non-story? Because it doesn't support Tan's master plan?
You say Cardiff fans aren't merchandise minded, so where do all the blue scarves and blue shirts come from??

How is that anyway the truth? Just because we're in a different league you think the shirts would sell? It was down to preference, the telling story is that people didn't like the colour of the shirt or the design of it. I buy shirts because I like them or they're my team but if I don't like the design my club has, I don't have to buy it.
Our shirt was the worst selling shirt in the PL(IN THE SPORTS RETAILERS DEPARTMENT) because it was barely sold elsewhere other than the club shop, it was barely advertised.
The pride in the BLUEBIRD identity is because it's seen as a protest to the current regime, Blue is our our real identity and the reason so many blue shirts are being bought now is because it's seen as a protest and that's why the pride is coming out in people. They are taking pride in the true identity of the club and are taking pride as being seen as a protester.
Bar the 10/11 season where we had Bellamymania and 07/08 with the signing of Fowler, tell me when were replica shirts EVER popular here?
I also specifically said that I said REPLICA shirts, scarfs and blue t-shirts are another thing, whereas some people are looked down upon if they wear replica shirts(whatever the colour).
It's a non story as I've mentioned because the major retailer barely advertised the product and it was barely sold in bulk anywhere else other than the clubshop. I have nothing to gain from whatever Tan makes, it's clear the re-brand was on the whim of one man who wanted his ideal club or got told something about a red team and went with it. The re-brand isn't based on shirt sales, plenty of fakes can be made, so Tan doesn't care in that department. The investment was on Vincent Tan's personal preference and it gave us exposure in the media due to the story and we ended up getting promoted. Giving us exposure in the media.
Like I've said as well, fans of the top 6 sides who live in Wales are going to buy their own teams shirts over a Cardiff City shirt of course, we have always been outsold by the top 6 sides even when in Blue. So there's the reason why this is a non story

You start your reply asking how my post was "anyway the truth"?? My post was part fact and part opinion, to which I am entitled. To ask whether it was truthful is an insult.
You stated that CCFC shirts weren't on sale or advertised. WRONG! Sports Dorect have been selling them and a really insignificant online retailer who have no share of the market at all: AMAZON!!!
Check the link which is today's. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cardiff-City-Ho ... B00F000SDE
I may be outspoken and opinionated, but I am not a liar. Now I have given you proof that at least a couple of my points are truthful, admit you were wrong and post an apology. Until you do, I will not take anything you post seriously and quite frankly, if this is such a non-story, why are so many viewing and commenting?
Have a nice day.
