Well we just got Dikgacoi on double the wages Palace offered, so nothing surprises me anymore with our obscene spending.

If we want to push for promotion that the only way we'll get decent players in, in the short term its not too bad because we didn't pay a fee for him and if we get promoted then we won't have to worry about raising his wage, but it's a risk

The difference is no fee was paid, so whereas mackay was spending say 3 mil on a player, he was also giving them a 3 mil contract, atleast we are now saving millions on player fees.

We either pay a fee with increased wages or we pay nothing with increased wages.

You've been harping on about a defensive midfielder for weeks and since we signed KG you seem upset we have him. No pleasing you.

According to tonteg milkay we should be aiming our sights higher than Dikgachoi, even the Pulis was devasted to lose a good prem player to a championship team. Would love to know who tonteg thinks we should be singing :laughing6:

If Malky had signed him it would of been coup of the season and we should have trebled his wages

Never seen him comment on Cornelius' obscene wages either, yet has the nerve to comment on KG's increased pay.

Can't believe someone would be upset at signing a defensive midfielder with Prem experience on a free who was apart of a good Crystal Palace defence after Pulis came in. Baffling.

Agree its mind boggling. I'll say when I think ole has made a mistake, and so far all his signings are good IMO. Obviously he signed a few duds in jan but I think its abit unfair to judge him on Jan. I honestly can't think of many DM's we could sign on a free the quality of Dikgachoi.

Don't know why you're all bringing Malky into this, very strange.

They use it as an automatic defense to anything shit solksjaer does.

You having a dig at Ole for reportedly doubling his wages was probably an annouyamce to people when we are still dealing and still paying out after malkys disastrous summer spend.

We have paid big wages since Sam arrived and the trend continued through a number of chairman and managers. Players aimt going to pick cardiff over a prem team like palace just for the hell of it. Its all about money.

You've done the same with Ole in the past you hypocrite.

Also you've brought Malky into random topics too, remember the thread about Merthyr? You are odd.

Please tell me where I have blamed Ole for doubling his wages? Everyone should know by now that it isn't the managers who are responsible for negotiating the fees and wages.

Don't you remember turning a thread about Merthyr into a Malky vs Ole debate?! :laughing5: :laughing5:

You're just as bad with it. I liked Malky, but he's gone. Get behind OGS, he's made some great signings this summer.

I didn't, several of you lot did mind. All I did was describe Merthyr's opponents as putting in the type of performance that reminded me of us grinding out results to get promoted in the Championship.

How do you know Ole has made great signings this summer? Nobody has seen the majority of them play yet! Hopefully they will come good though.
