Never forget what your parents did for you. Mine were great. You appreciate that its not always easy and you can see clearer when you have kids of your own.

My dad took me to my first ever City game in 1970 - v Huddersfield. Made me a wooden step to stand on on the Bob Bank so I could see the game ( we couldn't afford to go in the seats) Imagine trying to bring that into the ground nowadays.

City lost 1-0. So started the great roller coaster ride of supporting the City that so many of us have been on over the years.

Thanks Dad! (I think!)

My old man passed away 4 years ago, part of me died that day and there's not a day I don't think about him.
I drew this portrait of him 2 days after he died. I've always drawn, but this is the only portrait I have ever done as I always struggled to get the details right. I guess I knew his face so much that this would never have been a problem.

Thanks... life is so short, dad's been through the mill over the last few months, triple bypass, broken bones, then the dreaded cancer. I'm very fortunate he is still with us although he isn't 100% in the clear, days like this are so important. It's lovely to see your children sharing your special moment also!
