Then someone better be prepared to pay £25m minimum.

3 year contract, top goalscorer in the Prem since Xmas 2013 after banging in 31 goals in 30 games in Holland and only 24 years old.

I can see a few teams bidding between £15 - £20 million but no more than that.

Then they dont get him. Joe allen went for that :D

We bought him unproven for £12.5m, now top goalscorer in the Prem in 2014 and scoring in the world stage we would want at least double that, and i mean at least.

If i were Huw then listen to offers £25m and above and sell for £28m. Luckily, he dies have a track record of driving hard bargains.

In his second season he will probably be worth closer to your mark, as long as he doesn't have second season syndrome.

Re: bony

No signs of the syndrome at the world cup chaps

Top player. Can see a team like Spurs or Valencia coming in for him within the next season or two.

:laughing6: valencia?

He will want champions league football when he leaves. Perfectly made for Chelsea.

Chelsea already have lukauku

Re: bony

Im not sure they have much faith in Lukaku, no idea why.

Re: bony

Sun Jun 15, 2014 12:28 pm

He was non-existent for most of the game last night, missed a few chances too. Seems to be a bit of a luxury whenever I've watched him.

Luckily he puts the ball in the back of the net like he did last night, and that's all he needs to do, score a goal a game and however little else he does gets ignored, justifiably.

I'd love to have a luxury player that scores a goal every other game.

Bony is a top player who happens to play for Swansea. Hopefully he leaves and they decide to replace him with kenwynne jones......

He had a 100% pass completion so his link up was pretty good with Gervinho.

He may have had a 100% pass completion but I disagree about his link up play, it was non existent. Not that it matters because he scored, that's his main job.

Re: bony

Sun Jun 15, 2014 12:51 pm

All his link up passes hit the target, the majority of his passes were in the final third. Cant get better than 100%, when he had the ball he did something well with it (apart from a couple of missed chances).

Most strikers can play simple 1 or 2 yard passes and have a good pass completion rate.

Drogba came on, and immediately his all round play ultimately led to a goal, Bony put it in the net and fair play to him for that, I dont doubt hes a goal scorer, im jusy saying he offers absolutely nothing else other than goals, not necessarily a bad thing.

Yeah its not true though, barely even debatable in fact.

In the Premier League he was responsible (scoring or setting up) for a scarily high percentage of goals, almost 50% i think.

He also does tremendous defensive work and is a key player in defending set pieces.

A beast of a player. To suggest all he has is goals is as wayward as you can get. Genuinely.

You offer a lot of stats which I very rarely see evidence of, would like to see the one which says he assisted nearly 50% of Swansea's goals.

And as for the rest, I totally disagree, he offers little (if anything) other than goals (not necessarily a bad thing as ive said before), but we both know you know that really.

Just checked and he assisted 4 goals last year, yet scored a shed load. Does that not back up my point that hes a goal scorer and not much else?

Re: bony

Sun Jun 15, 2014 1:25 pm

Nope not at all, it just shows how manny he scored and assisted.

Does it say how many defensive clearances he made? Or how his involvement in moves contributed to half our Premier League goals?

To suggest Bony offers nothing apart from goals is like saying Pirlo offers nothing other than free kicks.

Re: bony

Sun Jun 15, 2014 1:27 pm

Cardiff Must Stop Bony

"He's a threat, he's a goal scorer, a good link-up player," said Solskjaer..

"When he turns he can shoot from anywhere on the pitch, right foot, left foot.

"We've seen proof of that quite a few times. Swansea look to use him in the build-up play."

He only scores goals and doesn't do any thing els?
There u are then.
He was our best defender from set pieces in our box last season and he holds the ball up better then any player in the prem there for linking up the midfield.
As for valencia taking him? What planet are u on! Do you realy thonk any club other then the top 3 in spain could compete with any prwm club for wages and spending 20 m plus

Valencia have just been taken over by peter lim who is absolutely minted so they could afford him.

Re: bony

+1m after last night and another million for every other goal he scores out there. We should be able to command 25-8 million for any interested party.

I only say Valencia as they have a new owner determined to turn things around there. They'll improve over the next few seasons.

Wolfsburg are another who seem to have a fair bit of cash at the minute. Lukaku's their main target, but clearly Bony would be an ideal back-up plan.

This is embarrassing! You are like an opposition MP disagreeing for the sake of it. I actually watched 90%+ of Swansea's games last year and you are wide of the mark by a country mile.

I watched him holding the ball up like no other player in the PL and being virtually unplayable with the ball at his feet. He made more defensive clearances with his head and feet than almost any other Swansea player and was involved in a high proportion of goals he didn't score.

He's CL material. Full stop!!
