Bolton Fan's Cardiff City Introduction

Chris looks at another of the clubs who will be entering the 2014/15 Championship where they will face the mighty Bolton Wanderers, it's time for a look at Cardiff City.

Manager
Former Manchester United reserve team manager and erstwhile substitute striker Ole Gunnar Solskjær arrived at Cardiff City in the aftermath of the sacking of former boss Malky Mackay by controversial and hilarious owner Vincent Tan following the club's poor start to the Premier League season.

Despite a huge media backing given his fame in English football, he proved to be a massive failure and the club ended up being relegated.

Time will tell whether he will be a good manager over in England, but one thing's for sure - he'll be given an easy ride by the media in the same manner as that failure Paul Lambert at Aston Villa who is forgiven his many many failings because he is popular with shitbag journalists at the Guardian etc. Hipster bell-ends.

Stadium
The imaginatively named Cardiff City Stadium is another tedious identikit modern edifice to ennuyeux. Forgive the spelling it's a long while since I did French at school.

The £48m stadium was completed in 2009 and houses 28,050 fans.

Tenuous Link with Bolton Wanderers

Bolton have the edge on Cardiff with 33 wins from the 66 between the two sides.

Bolton and Cardiff go way back with their first meeting being back in 1921, whereas the most recent game was a 1-0 Cardiff win in the 2013/14 season FA Cup Fourth Round.

Cardiff men Joe Mason and Kevin McNaughton spent time on loan at Bolton last season, with varying degrees of success. Striker Mason was far more effective during his second loan spell when paired with the impressive Lukas Jutkiewicz, whilst defender McNaughton did a job - that's probably the best thing I can say about that.

How Will Their Season Progress?
They'll expect to win the league, and they're already throwing their cash around the league with the signings of Adam Le Fondre and Federico Macheda already costing a pretty penny in wages.

Financial doping indeed, and we're the dopes.

I hope they crash and burn.

Player to Watch

Former Manchester United trainee Mats Møller Dæhli joined the club in 2013/14 under his fellow Norwegian, and made 12 appearances in the Premier League, scoring once.

A creative midfielder, Dæhli will be expected to have a serious impact in the Championship next season, and will hope to provide the bullets for the Cardiff strikers to score the goals which will lead them to the Premier League.

Dæhli is said to be the most promising youth player in Norway, and has been a key player for every Norwegian youth team up to under-19 level. He has also played for the under-21 team, and made the step up to the senior team in 2013.

Do We Have Beef with Them?
Everyone has beef with the Welsh. Everyone.
