" I have been told totally different regarding Vincent Tan "

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=136474

I have been told from people close to Tan and others who have interviewed Tan the following and we can only wait and see if its true.

That Tan would sell tomorrow if he could get his £150-£160mill back, but that will prob never ever happen.

So its expected that this will be Tans last season even if promoted or even if we fail, Tan will bail out.
Tan will take a loss either way, of course if promoted,no where near the loss.
Of course tan has to find a buyer first and thats what I have heard he has been trying to do.

Ok people will now say Tan is here for the future, well lets see what happens by next Summer 2015, but I honestly believe Tan will bail out if a buyer can be found. :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

If we don't go up this coming season Tan will be gone in my opinion.

there's only one way to find out... wait!

Think everyone knows he would be out already if he could find a buyer but nobody is gna pay 150m for us,I think this time next yr we will have someone else in charge lets hope we are up as that will make us a better prospect to potential buyers, otherwise it's asset striping and being left in the shit by the dictator

we don't know that so there's no point panicking over it or driving up the anti. Other owners have gone without doing the same, let's see

People need to realise that tan wont be asking £150m for the club, not even he is that bonkers.

Lets say he moves you on next year....

1) Partial debt to equity leaving £100m odd debt.

2) he can keep transfer fees from the likes of mutch, marshall, caulker, campbell and medel (£30 millilon)

3) he can keep parachute money from this season and next (£40 odd million)

4) he can keep two lots of season ticket money (£10m odd)

5) he can sell the likes of Daeli and John should they have good campaigns.

That may leave £10-£15m for him to break even, so that will probably be around the figure he will want for his shares. Not a bad price at all IMO.

This is asset stripping, a concept i brought to you the day he took over yet it was called scaremongering back then :thumbright:

Just wondering why are you expecting Tan will leave even if we are promoted? And what if there's no one interested to buy? Surely once we up there again.. the aim is to stay up and make money??

Yes, very difficult to sell if there is no buyer. Look at Reading!

I might be wrong but I don't think he can take the parachute money with him.

He absolutely can. He is within his rights as chairman to use the parachute payments to pay off the clubs debts (its what they are for essentially) - he owns the loan notes, so it pretty much just banking them.

Ah well, there's a difference between paying off the club's debts and him just walking away with the money.

Re: " I have been told totally different regarding Vincent T

Its exactly the same. He is the clubs debts.

Not if he sells the club and those debts are included in the asking price. If he uses the parachute money to pay off part of the debt then potential buyers will have to pay less. If he syphons it off then any potential buyer is going to have to pay more.

No they wont. The less debt the club is in the more valuable it is. And the less debt the club is in means the more money Tan is getting to be getting as he is the debt.

There is no question he will be keeping the parachute payment, no brainer.

Re: " I have been told totally different regarding Vincent T

If permissible, Tan taking all revenues in terms of parachute payments and season tickets is pretty simple to understand.

Revenues from player sales in terms of Campbell, Caulker, Marshall and Mutch being pocketed is also a no-brainer but think he may well hold off on selling younger talent.

A club with 10-15m debt is attractive for a buyer but anyone looking to invest will want these younger players as part of the club as potential value for themselves.

A buyer would much rather pay 7.5m more for the club (rather than Tan sell John & Daehli for that) with the potential for them to be valued at 12m for the two in a couple of seasons.

When asset stripping a club you need to be careful of going to far as you need to sell what you've left with and I'm sure Tan will realise that for all his faults.

all his faults
sorry but his only fault is the re brand
oh and sacking malky too late

Have to agree here, given that Malky's sacking was inevitable for some time before it happened (although personally I still think he deserved one full season for getting us up with limited funds from our Chairman!)

And YES, the last bit (about funds) WAS a joke! :laughing6: :laughing6:

If that is the case , why would he put the seats red ? surely a buyer would be more attracted to a club with fans happy than protesting all the time ?

This season's bills. Did you not say he will be taking the transfer money from sales of Caulker etc and the parachute money.

This is where tan leaving isn't going to look so great because he's going to be taking the family silver with him.

Players are already leaving on the cheap and where do you think that money is gong?

It was Tans money that bought them in first place .

Cant blame tan for wanting out , he is not stupid and will sell club if money is right , this isnt really news as such but if true he will go if we stay down then i would worry as everything will be sold off .
