any one else think whitts time with us is up
my reasons
1 age
2 too slow
3 wages
whitts is not getting any younger ole seems to prefer younger hungry players
whitts definatly is pace less again ole likes quick players
whitts wages seems to of gone under the radar with people on here ,,as a more senior player im sure he would be on very good wages ,,don't forget every time he was linked with another club he was given a new contract
imo hes been in a comfort zone for many seasons now
some on here think that it was down to loyalty what a load of shit and total bollocks imo
just shows his lack of ambition and proves he was very well off financialy with us
the way oles going about building our new more cost effected squad makes me believe whitts will go
I think kimbo will also go due to his wages and his inaffective showings to date again not a ole type player

No

no to what ????

Comfort zone for many seasons yet was in the Championship team of the year last year (2013) as voted for by his peers
The guy is class at this level. You are clueless.

Got to agree with Polo, at this level, if played in the right position he is fantastic. I hope Malky hasn't coached all the creativeness out of him and he's back to himself next season.

Whitts is going nowhere, he will end his career with us. He is Mr Championship, an absolute class act in this division. I've always liked him and I believe he will be at Cardiff City for a very long time. He don't need pace to do what he does best, he just does the simple things but effective, how anyone can knock his ability at this level is beyond me.

sounds like them talking about Rooney on Radio 5 this morning lol
Thu Jun 05, 2014 8:58 am
Whitts could go on for years as he's not a player that relies on pace, it's his creativeness that counts
Thu Jun 05, 2014 9:06 am

so many of our fans know so little about football.
Thu Jun 05, 2014 9:11 am
i think he will be here another season atleast

"whitts is not getting any younger ole seems to prefer younger hungry players"
Are you serious??
OGS signed Berget, Eikrem, Jones and Zaha.
What a complete waste of money, time and kit they all are.
None of which are, or ever will be, a patch on Whitts.
The only player who MAY reach the standard of Whitts for us is Dhaeli, and only time will tell on him.
Thu Jun 05, 2014 9:47 am
Whitts will stay. Run to Specsavers m8, fast!
Thu Jun 05, 2014 9:56 am
Whitts is a class player and will be key for us in the championship next year
Thu Jun 05, 2014 10:13 am
My thoughts are...
Whitts is superb at set pieces, and a committed city man, however last season he was hiding away I believe this is because of the pace of the premier, plus Malky had him playing far too deep.

Thats priceless coming from you it really is. Especially when in the opening post you come out with this beauty
don't forget every time he was linked with another club he was given a new contract
some on here think that it was down to loyalty what a load of shit and total bollocks imo
Thu Jun 05, 2014 10:23 am
What a clueless post. Whitts still has lots to offer.
Thu Jun 05, 2014 10:48 am
No, still one of our best players and could be really important next season.
Thu Jun 05, 2014 10:52 am
I'm torn with Whitts we all know what he's capable of but the last couple of seasons he certainly hasn't been at the same level consistently and fades fast the second half of the season. I think he's playing too much and hopefully this season he won't be used so much and will come in and out of the team using proper squad rotation.
If we are going to play him in the middle then we need to buy someone with pace and power in the middle
Thu Jun 05, 2014 10:54 am
The man has been a Godsend at Championship level and, played in the right position, he can continue in the same manner.
Thu Jun 05, 2014 11:02 am
Class act, we are lucky to have and to have had him at City for so long.
Thu Jun 05, 2014 11:18 am
I'd be comfortable putting money on him still being here in 2017. He loves it here and had said multiple times, he'll only leave when the manager doesn't want him. Ole obviously wants him because of the way he brought him back into the side at the end of the season, and he was the best player we had in that time.

I have had ago at Whitts in the past.
But I Disagree Troobloo, Whittingham can be a great asset on his day and as long as he performs to his capabilities, he will be good for us in the Championship, but as I say as long as he performs to his capabilities, he can be pure class
Thu Jun 05, 2014 1:09 pm
and ole is also well aware of whitts valuable experience at this level of football same as super kevs whitts hasn't been played in his right role for sometime but will definitely come good again and has a good 3-4 years in him yet just wait and see
Thu Jun 05, 2014 1:13 pm
In the Championship he offers far more positives than negatives. If we had stayed in the Premier League then I'd probably have agreed but we need players like him in this division.

Spot on Steve. You match my opinions exactly. I also got shot down for saying very similar recently. But we obviously know nothing about football do we ? And as for set pieces, they havnt been good for the past 2 seasons for me. Seems to like to loop high crosses into the box now, not like when he used to whip the ball in. Clearly been a passenger recently and i feel Eikrem will step up and replace him this season
