Disappointed with Taylor Leaving

I was really disappointed when I heard Taylor left.

He's a solid Championship left back and he's proven he can do a job for us in that position.

I feel a hell of a lot more confident in him that Declan John [no disrespect to Declan, he just leaves us exposed sometimes]

How do you guys feel about it?

I thought there would be a big backlash over him leaving, but nobody seems to care that much...

Ole obviously feels he doesn't fit his style, i'm not too bothered

Was the worst player in our defence consistently since he signed.

Not sure who I'm going to abuse every match now though, it was Fabio for one game but since then he's been amazing and is now my favourite player.

I as a tad disappointed and believe that Taylor would suit the Championship better than the Premier League. However, someone (maybe him) made a decision that he could leave (maybe for financial reasons) and I guess we have to accept that and move on

Ole is our manager and he seems to know what he wants for next season and I will support him in his efforts to bring us success in 2014/15

I think that many of us 'care, but this is "football" and as we know only too well "anything can happen" and at Cardiff City FC it usually does! LOL

Sometimes when a player leaves its sometimes due to the player wanting to go ( odemwingie ) so maybe that's the case with taylor?

To be honest, I won't miss his constant passes sideways or backwards, nor will I miss him seemingly blaming someone else whenever he cocks up.

It was time for him to move on I think but he was decent enough at Championship level.
Some 'fans' are already looking for a scapegoat before a ball is kicked though.

It all depends on what kind of wages he was on, we know Malky rated him and gave him a new contract so he could be on big money.

I dont mind him as a player for the championship but I would like to see us try and improve.

When I first started watching football it was always the full backs job to stop the wide man/winger from crossing the ball into the area. Taylor almost always let the ball be crossed into our area except for when Conway played with him as Craig did a lot of Taylor's defensive duties

Me too, nothing vindictive, just being honest.

Taylor isn't a bad player (not good enough for PL but more than adequate at Champ level) but I don't rate him as highly as Fabio and even Superkev. Declan John might not be as reliable but we have to invest in the youth as well.

I will miss watching our LB constantly getting skinned, turned, outpaced and allowing the winger get a cross in.

If we didn't have Conway in the 12/13 season covering him we would have conceded a lot more at the fault of Taylor.

John isn't good enough to be our first choice left back

We've dropped down a league now mind. Not just the right wing, but the whole team we will be playing against will be considerably weaker. Perfect opportunity for John to improve on his defensive side of his game.

I think that may be the case with this guy (being blind!)
Everybody like John because he's a local kid but is nowhere near good enough at the moment. He needs to go out on loan & learn how to defend. I see him a potentially very good player.

Fabio is our best full back, followed by Brayford
