Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is targeting a young Polish player to bolster his midfield for the Championship


Cardiff City have tabled a 2m Euro bid for Polish youngster Michal Gyro - according to reports in Europe.

The 21-year-old, 6ft 2in Legia Warsaw starlet has played 63 times for his club as well as his national U18 and U19 teams.




Cub president Boguslaw Leśnodorski says the 21-year-old has had a very successful season and would only consider selling Gyro for 10m Euros.

But website WP.PL insists he was only joking with that statement.

Despite suffering with injury Gyro scored four goals and made 11 assists for the T-Mobile Polish Ekstraklasa champions.

The Bluebirds have already signed Adam Le Fondre, Federico Macheda, Guido Burgstaller and Javi Guerra this summer.

Don't know anything about him, as I'm sure many don't but his stats look good. Ole should put in an 8 mil bid for this one for the future just to be safe

One of the Warsaw fans put something on Twitter last night about Cardiff making a bid for that figure for Michal Gyro and they laughed at that figure.

May well be something in it but on the other hand may not. Time will tell i suppose but the impression was that he was worth a lot more than the 2 mill Euro's.

Sounds similar to Burgstaller, if Ole pulls this one off it's going to be very interesting to see how we're going to set up.

I notice he played 18 times last season and was subbed (started but taken off) 10 times last season. This might suggest he is ineffective when starting and better as an impact sub, or that he is inconsistent.

Hopefully, if we are genuinely in for him and secure him, it will just be a case of him having to improve his conditioning and strength, which should happen naturally at his age and with improved coaching.

For that price it would seem a bit of a gamble however, due to the big step up in standard in the Championship

I think we are going to see a true Ole team this season.Not a Malky type player by the look of it.

Another winger? That's Dæhli, Kim, Noone and Burgstaller already maybe Kim is surplus, which would be disappointing really because he's a different option and can keep possession really well (in the championship).

Can't see Daelhi playing on the wing next season, he ll be operating behind the strikers. Kim has never been a winger and never will be, he will be sold hopefully total garbage.
