Can't be true because he isn't a striker.

Re: Potential LB

Sat May 31, 2014 11:09 am

McNaughton, Taylor, Brayford, KTC, Conolly, Fabio, John

Yep we really need another full back.

Taylor, Conolly and KTC are the shit half IMHO

Re: Potential LB

Actually that's not correct is it.

Connolly was more than capable in our promotion season.
Taylor can be very good but sadly is often very shit.
Brayford has been outstanding at this level.
French Kev And Fabio could exel at this level in my opinion.
Scottish Kev has been outstanding for us from the moment he joined.
Commitment wise he cannot be faulted. Just his delivery is lacking.
John is very young still and has lots of potential. Perhaps a full season at Championship level and he can make the next step up..

Isn't McNaughton like 60 years old?

This is so random it's got to be true :laughing6:
This is the only thing I could find on him in English

Hmm well we will see. Full backs and wings are the ones to lose their level the youngest. I wouldn't bank on a 32 year old full back, even for cover. I remember laughing my pants off when Blackburn signed Michel Salgado (35 at the time) from Real Madrid and he was shit from day 1. John Arne Riise was just released by Fulham at 32. Roberto Carlos went straight from Real Madrid to Fehnerbache and then Anzhi.

You can't really play full back at all once your knees and hips stiffen.

Spot on, Ashley cole prime example, can't get a sniff at Chelsea. Evra also on his way out, although they both still r good players.

Paolo Maldini played left back until he was 41. Nigel Winterburn played until he was 39. Lee Dixon played until he was 38. At a lesser level, Tony Ford played right back in the lower divisions until he was 41. Full backs are able to play just as long as any other outfield player.

No. Everything has exceptions. There's a Norwegian who played box to box midfield for Rosenborg (Roar Strand, scored against both Chelsea and AC Milan in his career) until he was 44. Doesn't mean every midfielder can do that. Players like those exist, but they are proportionally rare to their position. Physical potential / aging is a highly individual thing.

But on average;
GKs play until 38-40
CBs until 36-38
Strikers until 36
Central midfielders until 35-36
Wingers until 33-34
Full backs until 32.

That's because every other senior player has pretty much gone or going, you think evra will be starting if they sign the
Luke shaw

Yeah, "IF" being the key word. What if they don't? Also only Ferdinand and Vidic have gone, big losses of course. But they still have a good core of senior players. Evra will still start most games for United.

If you think evra will start in front of 30 mil shaw then you need your head tested :thumbright: UTD want to sign a young attacking fullback, evra is going backwards, he's not the player he used to be, due to age.

Other than Fabio Super Kev is still our best fullback and I thought he dd well when he played unlike French Kev he can actually defend. He still has plenty in the tank and I hope he can e given another 1 year extension next so he will have played 10 seasons for us my second Favorite cardiff player ever behind Earnie!

Oh Kev Mcnaughton you are the love of my life............ :ayatollah:

Woooooow now.
First of all who the f**k is Scottish Kev it is and always will be Super Kev.
An as for the Norwegian faggot ripping on super Kev I'd rather 11 of him in the team over any of your little Norwegian players including Daehli.
