Jacks on Fab,Vorm and Marsh.

How quickly they're sticking the knife in ....http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/s ... -switch/#8

Fabianski makes Swans switch on 08:26 - May 29 by TheFranchise

Looks like Vorm to Liverpool for £4m.

Reckon its an upgrade if Vorm continued to play like he did last year,

Possibly a downgrade from Vorm of 2 seasons ago

That's not sticking the knife in that's bang on , Vorm was superb but has definitely lost it this season , cannot think of one single time where I actually applauded a really good save off him

Bollocks.

Jacks have laughed off the plaudits that Marshall has got and some claimed he was behind Vorm.
Now Vorm is Shit.
Fabianski is a Top Keeper and Marsh is overpriced.

Marshall is overpriced at £15m.
Vorm is shit.
Fanianski is a good keeper.

Thats the long and the short of it. Not seen anyone say much different tbh.

At the beginning of the season I thought Vorm was better than Marshall but a season is a long time in football Vorm had gone backwards whilst Marshall had excelled , of course Marshall is overpriced at 15 mill ffs , as was Joe Allen nice if you can get it though , can't see arsenal paying it mind

Vorm is a quality Keeper.
Your side as a whole has been shit this season.
(Better than us granted) but shit nonetheless.
All accross the park there has been problems.
Even on the training pitches

Vorms head may of been turned a while back upon whispers of Brenda's interest.
Also with the changing of managers, added pressure of Europe, and infighting of different players,
Many of your boys have played "within themselves".
Not because they've suddenly become shit.
There's a lot more to this game than just kicking a ball around.

Vorm has been terrible this season, whenever I've seen him and I know the Jacks I speak to regularly certainly wouldn't miss him, should he leave.

Although this thread does kinda prove a point.. When We did the Cardiff/Swansea combined 11, I seem to remember a few Jacks mocking anyone who put Marshall in ahead of Vorm. :laughing6:

Well then you should urge ole to make a bid. We have been wanting shot of him the majority of this season

Marshall was the best keeper in the prem last season and wile vorm was a class act the last season he has not been anyway near as good.
Yes I would like to keep him but 4 mill and a top international keeper coning in on a free is nit to bad.

Probably were at the start of the season. Even your fans were wondering whether you needed a new keeper.

vorm of last season had a similar season to the one marshall just had so on that basis the choice was obviously vorm.

Vorm has gone backwards at a rate of knotts and marshall has excelled.

really? Don't remember reading anyone saying that. I'd be amazed, seeing as Marshall performed heroics the season we were champions too.

I don't think he's done anything of note since his debut season.

Marshall has excelled for 2 seasons now. It's not just his last season. .

yep i remember it well, it was often discussed when deciding what areas needed to be strengthened when going into the prem.

he hasnt.

vorm outperformed marshall prior to this season. No doubt about that. Vorm was one of the most rated keepers in the orem last year.

Liverpool will probably pay you 12 mill for vorm!

From the performances i saw from both in the 2012/13 season, I would have selected Marshall over Vorm. Vorm has been mediocre for two seasons in my eyes. Something many other Swansea fans have also commented on.

Not that it matters, looks like you've sold him and brought in a better keeper than him for free. Good business.

Vorm was injured for the second half of last season. In the first half he was just as good as his first season i assure you. Since his injury he has become a bit of a joke to be honest, almost embarrassing when faced with a 50:50 situation.

Im delighted with fabianski signing. Also puts paid to the idea that monk cant get players considering he turned down big money at arsenal and other top european and premier league clubs to be part of his plans.

Marshall did very well but I wouldn't say he was best keeper.

4 million for vorm is probably over priced however 2 years ago he was superb so maybe he will recapture too form although I think he will be bench warmer at Anfield.

Fabianski is a good keeper. Not sure about his ability on ball though and he does have tendency to flap at crosses.

In fairness I'm first to stick knife in on the jbs but the majority on here last season stated that Marshall was the better keeper. Also at start of last season most ccfc fans would have said vorm was better than marshy.

Marshall was superb last season but if we get an offer over 10 million we should accept. A couple of mistakes next season and he's down to 3 million

If Brendan Rodgers gets Vorm in, he must see him as a better option than Fabianski. Otherwise he'd have gone for Fabianski.

Good buy for Swansea though, just not an improvement or even like for like, especially if the defence is weakened with the sale of Williams.

Rodgers signed borini when he could have got bony.

Dont think that makes any difference what so ever does it?

By that thinking he also sees Vorm as better than Marshall then or he'd be after him , strange reasoning :?

Not really, if Vorm goes to Liverpool he's going to be the number 2 behind Mingolet. Marhsall would cost a lot more just to be a number 2 keeper.

Either way Jacks would have done good business selling Vorm and getting Fabianski. To be honest I don't particularly rate Fabianski

Do you think marsall will go to arsenal as first choice ? There's a lot more chance of Liverpool splashing the cash than arsenal that's for definite , I'm not ecstatic with fabianski but he's a tidy keeper and better than Vorm on this seasons form

78 appearances for Arsenal. 23 clean sheets. Concedes on average a single goal a game. :thumbright:

thats crap roathie tbf!

in the 11/12 season i remember a few people wondering whether we should have heaton ahead of marshal as no1 due to his heroics in the carling cup. but after 12/13 everyone saw we made the right choice in selling heaton (as he was still probably too good to be a no2 keeper). I don't remember one city fan (on here or elsewhere) suggesting we needed a new keeper, you've either made that up or you're remembering wrong

Nope, i distinctly remember many discussions on whether you needed a new keeper. And also in the "can they step up" threads were never conclusive, some yes, some no, some jury out.

must be a different AAMB because even in the 12/13 season many were saying he was our best player (not in the same quantity as last season but there was never a doubt of his quality). I'm sure one or two people wondered if he could carry that on to the prem, but i certainly don't remember it being a talking point.

then again im pretty sure each MB contributor represents an average of 769 fans so i guess if two people said it..... :laughing6:
