Progressing nicely now since the close of the season. I remember looking at it when they first started the groundwork, and thought to myself , they're never going to Finnish it in time for the supercup...glad to say, I'm going to be proved wrong by the looks of it.

Will the roof be extended enough to cover the lower front rows of the Ninian Stand.

Looked at the plans mate, and your right, the roof will look sweepingly huge lol

Great stuff, I and a few mates were in the premier club seating, but they put the prices up 30% so we have moved over to the new stand, £600 cheaper, and on the half way line, should be a good view, and with the roof being that big, we won't get the sun in our eyes, like we used to get years ago in the bob bank, that my holiday paid for, lol

Missed the plans, I take back what I said earlier, the roof is LONGER than the Tay bridge

Although the new roof is obviously bigger as it spans two tiers I do not think it will extend any further towards the pitch than the current roof.

So the question is..... will a roof that is higher in the air be better or worse at keeping you dry.

Why is there a 50ft gap under that top tier, surely it's not going to be left like that is it?

Because the stadium was still in use they have only put in half the concrete steps. As soon as the original back wall of the stadium is removed more concrete steps will push out further over the lower tier.

The gap you can see is the concourse at the rear of the seating.

Does that make sense? It's confused me. ;)

Lol looks like don't it. I think it might be sand that's been sprinkled down so they can re'seed the pitch.. Think they do it at the end of every season....could be wrong though

Annis looking from the top floor down on the pitch it will be a great view, but the players will look very small. I will try and take some photos of the inside work later this week :ayatollah:

Still don't understand why the new roof isn't attached to the old roof. There seems to be potential for a few vertical lines of seats to get extremely wet depending on the angle of the rain.

I was trying to find a ground that had done similar but attached the roof. I have seen it but can't remember where I was.
