" Why Why Why Could We not ? "

Sun May 04, 2014 11:08 pm

All the clubs near the bottom in the last 4 months have all continued to pull of shock wins and draws at the big clubs grounds and at home to the big clubs.

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=141039

Today Norwich get a shock draw at Chelsea.

Why could we never get any?

Even most of the bottom clubs hammered us, the more I think about the last 4 months we were an absolute disgrace on the pitch.
I honestly cant see how anyone can defend being bottom of the league and hammered by teams who had terrible records themselves.

Results dont lie we are rock bottom of the Premier League

Why not put up all seasons results?

Cardiff 1 - 2 Newcastle
Cardiff 0 - 3 Southampton
Cardiff 0 - 1 Spurs
West Ham 2 - 0 Cardiff
Palace 2 - 0 Cardiff
Villa 2 - 0 Cardiff
To name a few......they were all part of our relegation

All were better squads than the absolute crap malky/moody put together that's why.

The Southampton game we lost 3-0 at home still remains the worst performance of our season.

If going over results on why we got relegated then you use them from the whole season, not pick a few months.

Your refusal to label any blame or hear anything negative against Malky is making you a laughing stock.

I loved that day down there and it was a great result, but Southampton had nothing to play for.

The truth is Tan and Ole took us down, but some dont like the truth.

Because, there were 2 half's of a season, managed by different managers and 7 new players. Ole started outside the bottom 3 and started against a very poor West Ham side who were on their worst run for years, Ole put us in the bottom 3 and every time we played a team on a terrible run we got hammered by them
Ole has to take the blame.

I said from day one if we stayed up then Ole takes all the applause

With all due respect, your summer transfer business was appalling and I firmly believe you would have gone down even if you hadn't sacked your manager.

His record over the second half of seasons is fairly appalling and imho your results would have tailed off.

Parking the bus and hoping to fluke a goal or 2 from set pieces may have caught out a few teams earlier in the season (Man City & us included), but that wouldn't have been enough over a full season.

Shame our manager is being judged after such a short period i hope he stays and proves his critics wrong.

I think its pretty normal for promoted clubs to start well and relegated clubs to struggle on first game of the season, always my bets that do well.

Remember blackpool, euro places for months and then went down.

I blame Tan for appointing Ole, Ole is naive and with no management experience in English football, out of his depth, thats my opinion and the facts back it up and the way we played was abysmal and that hurt.

I don't know why people use that as a stick to beat MM with...He was under intolerable pressure then. This was after the Liverpool game when the email that Tan had sent him had become common knowledge. He was expecting to get sacked after the Anfield game and the surrounding circus, played out under the full glare of the media, had completely unsettled the entire team. Really unfair to keep bringing that game up.

Whether he deserved it or not, his history suggests you would have declined in the second half of the season which would have taken you down.

And it's fair to say he made more than a couple of bad signings. He left you with no decent attacking options and hugely overspent, wasting money, on the other players he did bring in.

In my opinion, whoever took over from him was facing a nearly impossible task due to what was being inherited.

Shame our manager is being judged after such a short period i hope he stays and proves his critics wrong.

He's being judged on the fact that he still doesn't know his best team..He changes formations during the game, two or three times. He takes players off before and at half time, which basically shows the flaws in the original team he has picked. Players are recalled from nowhere for crucial games....players are starting and then not even in the squad for the next game..He looks lost...He has no presence about him. His team shows no fight..Every vital game we've been hammered..We've gained just 12 points since he's been in even though we've played the bottom half teams at home.....That's what he's being judged on

Re: " Why Why Why Could We not ? "

Sun May 04, 2014 11:55 pm

So you are saying Malky lost the Southampton game on purpose as he knew he lost his job?

I was indifferent to whether or not we sacked him or not and with hindsight I think he did a much better job than Ole. Like you said, Malky sprung a few surprises this season and Ole only had the Soton away win.
