The show will kick off around 12am mate with the fight at around 4am most likely. Khan will be before that so you're looking at a good schedule. There's some good fights that night so I'll be watching from 12am onwards. Beforehand I just watch the Mayweather vs Maidana all access on Showtime. They usually go up on YouTube and there's usually 3 or 4 half hour episodes so I start watching them around 10-10:30pm. I cant wait.

Episode 1

Episode 2

Episode 3

Im guessing there'll be 4 this time as there'll be one most likely aired before the show kicks off on Showtime. Going to watch them Showtime All Access clips before the fight to get right in the mood.

I try to swerve mayweather fights theses days. There's no doubting he's a great boxer, but it just seems like he's going through the motions now days, bit like that wladimir klitschko... I watched a fight of his on the weekend against some podgy Samoan fella, and to say it was an embarrassment is an understatement to say the least, I didn't realise the heavyweight division was in such a bad state, where the fuk have all the top american heavyweight boxers got to? I'll watch the Kahn fight though, there's always a bit of drama when he fights

Must say I've kinda fallen out of love with the sport recently.

Mayweather will win on a wide points margin.
Collazo will KO Khan mid to later rounds 6-8.

Agree with the above quoted post and mrmogreenz. I was loving it back when Mayweather was at his best and actually fought people he wasn't guaranteed a win against. He's just taking the easy pay days now. It's a shame because I think even if he took on the best and gave his all he would put on one hell of a show and could well earn more doing that. He doesn't though. I've not watched a fight in ages.

I think we all know who we would have liked to have seen him fight. That time has come and gone now though, it wouldn't be the fight everyone was looking forward to if it happens now, and for me, that sums up everything that is wrong with boxing now days. Its not about what the fans want anymore

Like my first post states, there's no doubting he's a top fighter, but there's no doubt he's now just going through the motions, its not so much the fighters he's going into the ring with, but more about the way he's going about it. He's got into a routine of going into the ring And doing the absolute minimum required to get the win, there's no risk involved for him... I don't blame him, but boxing is all about entertainment, and unless you are a boxing purerist, then you certainly won't get that when you watch mayweater today. And you say he would have beaten pacman? Well he certainly would have had to work a lot harder for that win, but we will never know how it would have went down for sure, because the fight that boxing was crying out for never happened and that's my point

This. He would of schooled Pac man just like he has every other opponent. Had a virtual shut out against Marquez who couldn't lay a glove on floyd and then went and beat Pac man. Last fight fought the best opponent possible in alvarez and made him look like a novice. He is simply too good for anyone and a top 5 of all time without doubt.

I'm a huge Maidana fan but nobody beats Floyd Mayweather, unfortunately. The way Maidana took care of that horrible mouthpiece Broner last time out was a thing of beauty. He's a real humble family man as well so would love him to put Floyd on his arse but it ain't gonna happen even though against Alvarez last time out Mayweather didn't look too clever. He won't be under-estimating Maidana though but Floyd on points and by a medium to large unanimous again I reckon.

Don't agree that mayweather didn't look good against alvarez I thought he was superb . You got to remember that alverez was unbeaten himself and was actually tipped to beat mayweather by alot of respected pundits having beaten trout mosley and cotto himself, he just couldnt get anywhere near floyd same as most people apart from de la hoya. Agree about maidana being a good guy though and you can guarantee he won't take a backward step satutday but expect another wide points victory
For Floyd.

He'll always look good but i think a prime and ready Mayweather would have won by more than a majority against Alvarez.Agree on the outcome though and on Maidana not taking a backward step. Can't believe he lost to Amir Khan though.Hell of a scrap that was and fight of the year i think. He's definitely improved since then too, so you never know, if he can catch Floyd anything could happen.Doubt it though, not with his defence.

I disagree there. Canelo is bigger and Floyd executed the game plan perfectly. The only fighter who is going to beat Floyd is a middleweight with immense speed and power who still will need luck to catch him. I doubt Floyd takes a fight against someone like that to be honest and who can blame him? He's gone up plenty of divisions already and even fought Canelo at a higher weight.

I'd like to see Floyd vs Lara to be honest. That'd be a good fight as both are counter punchers. One will have to be the aggressor or risk the fight going close and being split. It'd be interesting for that. It may be boring for fans who want an all action bout but in terms of styles its a very intriguing match up. Im fed up of Floyd fighting aggressive fighters that continuously come at him as he has sussed them out with ease and just picks them apart. That's why Pacquiao would lose easily too.

Alvarez and Lara are fighting soon.Let's see what happens there first. Can only see an Alvarez win personally, which would then make it pointless,as a scrap with Floyd and Lara wouldn't generate enough bunce to interest Camp Mayweather.

I still believe a Mayweather of 4-5 years ago would have handled Canelo better though.Wasn't it the first time a judge had gone against Floyd on the decision?

He had a split decision against del Hoya . Canelo was also a stone heavier than floyd come fight night so I think he could still go up another weight division if he runs out of fights.
A khan fight at wembley might be the next option for him as I don't see any other big pay days on the horizon with the current crop of American fighters

Agree on an Alvarez win but I dont think that makes FMJ vs Lara pointless due to the styles they both use. Alvarez was always going to be chasing the fight vs FMJ because of Floyd's hit and run tactics and we knew he'd do it. I think FMJ vs Lara makes an interesting match up no matter what purely on the styles. I'd love to see a boxer make Floyd force the fight. Others have done it with limited success but they're smaller fighters than Lara.

You're probably right but at the same time we must appreciate the wisdom Floyd has gained over those years too. Having watched him for years now I can easily say in terms of his attitude towards boxing he has matured. He still claims its all about the money but I dont believe him on that. That may be one of his main motivations but I think now his daughters and ensuring his name has the best record attached to it is his aim. I think he's moved on from the phase of it just being about the money which is also reflected in his branding going from TMT (The Money Team) to TBE (The Best Ever).

I like talking to you on here about the boxing as you're very clued up on it. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Possible big pay days

Khan - purely because he's a British fighter and possess speed of which some fans, not including myself, think will allow Khan to trouble Mayweather. I still believe Mayweather is too fast for him. Khan looks faster than he is because he flurries and a lot of punches are just air shots. Floyd hits fast with precision which is far more effective.

Broner - If Floyd and Broner fall out the drama surrounding the fight alone will ensure that this fight sells. It will sell massively in America where they love that sort of prefight stuff. Its also a lot closer than people think as in that All Access above Floyd is clearly having a dig at Broner.

Garcia - this fight would be massive in the States and massive to some British boxing fans too who follow Stateside boxing. Garcia has overcome the odds numerous times vs Matthysse after being written off. He is a battler, loves to get in the face of his opponents like Hatton and trade and he can throw a accurate and powerful punch. He also has decent stamina for a boxer of his style. This is unlikely to happen though as Danny's father seems to be protecting him and who can blame him? Floyd doesn't have many fights left and his son has the chance to clear up once Floyd has moved on.

Bradley - he's beat Pacquiao and lost to him. He's beat Peterson, Alexander and JMM too. He's a good choice for Floyd as well and it'd be an interesting fight although unlikely due to Golden Boy. Another fight between him and Pacquiao is far more likely. Both have 1 win after 2 fights so a decider is more likely.

Out of all those Mayweather vs Garcia would be the best but unlikely due to Garcia's father who seems to be protecting him.

He had it all then after the Rees fight he started flunking training and started acting even more a clown. The win in that fight when to his head big time. I hope he gets Pacman after calling him out and Pacman ruins him. I like Floyd, he's cocky to sell fights but he trains damn hard and takes every fight seriously. He's a model professional and a great businessman to boot but Broner is just a complete idiot.

Incredibly talented but terrible attitude and it'll come back to haunt him again. He is going to get well and truly humbled for flunking training and not listening to Floyd and his camp. In that All Access video above Floyd is on about Broner in that.
