Surely OGS Must Be Sacked?

Mon Apr 28, 2014 4:39 pm

When we go down...........officially.

He is way out of his depth, poor signings, poor and inconsistent team selection and awful substitutions.

Thoughts?

No chance he deserves a summer window to put his own team in place then judge him .

He inherited a poor unbalanced squad and needs time

I really like him, he is a cracking bloke, but we need a hard working b*stard to kick the shit out of them and get back some fight, probably Warnock would be ideal, not a smiley trainee Manager.

If it was my money invested, I would make a change, if Tan doesn't I will give OGS my 100% support, but I think Tan will cut him lose.......

Some of his signings are for the future, he is trying to play with a team that isn't all his he wont be sacked. next season he will have his own players in and the football will be exciting to watch

I dont agree his signings have been all poor. One is a class signing, two are decent. The other 4 are not great, possibly one or two will come good. But its not any different from Malky signings. Most of them aren't PL level a great deal of them was sent out of loan.OGS is naive and tried to play football with a team that had park the bus football ingrained in them and many of them are slow and can't keep possession. This was his biggest mistake, i wanna see what he can do when he selects players to his own liking.

I don't think he was naive though, just played the game how he wanted it played. I thought we bought for the championship at christmas. No way Tan sacks him.....He was his choice

No, he shouldn't, he was ploughed straight into a relegation battle with little more than a championship squad. Ole will get it right.

Tan will sack him after the season is over.

Surely there is no argument to support the signings he has made though. Apart from Daehli. Ole and only ole can be blamed for the signings he made. It was clear we needed strengthening out wide, up front and at the back but all he brought in was a crop of shit.

Same applies to malky. Only 2 of the players he signed are PL level. Chaulker and Mutch.Considering OGS had 6 mill and Malky had 40 mill I wouldn't go too hard on OGS in this respect. Tactics and that is another matter.
Every opposition fan in PL will say they would only take Marshall and chaulker and maybe Mutch out of our lot, even the teams in the bottom half, since Daehli started playing he is another one they feel would be worth the investment.
It simply a weak squad and that is not only on OGS.

Sums up what Tan knows about football - absolutely nothing.

I am very unsure about Ole. I feel he must be given a close season and a chance to get in the players he feels will respond to his ideas.

I'm far from confident that he will be up to the job unfortunately.

He's said on more than one occasion that he will stay but you could be right.

Could then be a difficult summer trying to persuade someone else to take the poisoned chalice.

I believe tan will interfere in every transfer now annis because of the Cornelius affair. That's the reason I believe ole will walk away and we can only end up with a yes man at the helm which will make things even worse.
Last thing we need right now is another kenny hibbit who let's the chairman pick the team

I dont think so, you can see what he is trying to do we just don't have the players for it. I think given time he will get the team together to come back up.

Perhaps the best thing that could happen to Ole now is to get sacked and get away from this twisted and devided club.?

For all the abuse Mackay has received, Solksjaer has received basically none in comparison. He is the current manager so people will defend him, if he left tomorrow they wouldn't give him the time of day.

Did anyone consider with Ole sacked the road back to blue is even longer? Ole in a strong position is the best bet for club history. Just a thought..

He is being defended because he inherited a championship squad in the premier league and hasnt had a pre-season to build his own squad of players who he can trust to implement his ideas.

I dont dislike the man, but he is not the type of manager for the championship.I think it would be too much for him and some of the players he brought in.Would like to see him as a coach with a more experienced manager, but thats never going to happen.
