Man U in for Ole?

Mon Apr 21, 2014 6:47 pm

With all the Moyes news today, there's bound to be some BS floating around, but I ask this as I've had a few Man U supporting "mates" text me saying that Man U may be looking to sign Ole as some part of Management team reshuffle over the summer that would involve Giggs having some role as a Head coach?!

They say that Ole will be offered an Assistant Manager role alongside either Kopp or Van Gaal?

Anyone else heard of this?!

Van Gaal will get the job and get his own men. United will not go with Giggs at all. Giggs will be on coaching staff.

Ole will be staying here. If Giggs does retire, Ole should get a few of his United mates as coaching staff :ayatollah:

I wouldn't be surprised. Oles style has probably impressed many of the big teams, and with decent players I think he can achieve greatness. I'm surprised we are doing as well with the deadwood we have at the moment to be honest.

He has won like 2 games in nearly 5 months.

He has done nothing to warrant such high praise.

He is doing ok with the circus created by tan, but united manager? Do me a favour.

Again, every single post you make is aimed against mackay.

If solksjaer left tomorrow you'd call him a c**t.

Nobody has mentioned Mackay in this thread, you whopper.

Re: Man U in for Ole?

18 games

Lost 10
Won 5
Drawn 3

He has got a result in roughly 45% of the games he has managed us in since he took over ,he's not doing bad .

I'm assuming then, that people think hi being offered some sort of ASSISTANT manager's role is unlikely then?

He will be linked to it due to his United connections but he himself knows he is sometime off becoming manager of his favoured side.

Like you said he's doing an okay job

This is fucall to do with mackay, this is about Ole. You are the only one bringing macrap up.

Looking at the stats,

Oles form is 14th so far from the 2nd half of the season, malky was 17th bfor he had the boot. With another win or two, Ole could finish 12th In the form table for the 2nd half of the season also keeping us up. This leads me to believe if he was here the first half, he would of guided us to 12-14th in the first half of the season, leaving us 12-14th at the end with this poor squad malky assembled. Pretty good would you say :thumbright:

Mmmm... Nah but. My assumptions are made on stats and facts only. And the fact is Malkys stats and facts are shit, from buying players, to game play, to everything else.

I worry that he would take such a post.....It would be a good step for him, and set the foundtations for a future coaching career there?

You clearly don't take stats into it with mackay.

Solksjaers lost 3 nil to swansea, 4 nil to hull and 3 nil to palace.

You make excuses for him when you take mackay to the cleaners for being sacked when we weren't in the relegation zone.

It is amazing how much you hate him and the fact you prefer tan to him. So gullible.

You seem to think it is pro mackay v pro solksjaer, when I am pro both. Every post you make it is 'us v them' when we all support the same team.

Re: Man U in for Ole?

I really doubt Ole will leave for a job as an assistant, even if it was Man U. I´m sure Ole is dreaming about becoming a Man U manager one day, but normally clubs don´t make plans that involves a future promotion of an assistant. Promoting the assistant is mostly an emergency solution, but seldom a good idea, as he will struggle getting the right level of respect from the players. So I don´t think anyone needs to worry (or getting their hopes up); Ole is not going anywhere.

Also, thinking that Ole would agree to be Giggs´ assistant, is somehow ridiculous. What makes Giggs more qualified than himself?

Louis van Gaal set for Manchester United talks over replacing sack-bound David Moyes

Holland's coach is expecting a meeting this week PLUS: An eager Klopp waits in the wings, and Giggs is in line to mind the shop

Louis van Gaal is ready to succeed doomed David Moyes as Manchester United boss.

Moyes is facing the sack on Tuesday after less than a year in charge, because United finally lost patience with him and decided to cut their losses.

Mirror Sport reported 10 days ago how United have already sounded out Holland boss Van Gaal, who is expected to meet with the club’s hierarchy this week.

Van Gaal is currently at his villa in Portugal’s Algarve and is expecting a meeting there with a delegation from the Old Trafford giants to discuss the prosepct of taking over from Moyes.

The Dutch coach has already held talks with Tottenham but the 62-year-old is said to be holding out for the United job, which is why he has yet to commit to Spurs.

The Reds' US owners, the Glazer family, are making £200million available to strengthen the squad this summer, and are not willing to trust Moyes with that kind of money. They want a proven winner instead.

United are set to give Moyes his marching orders before Saturday’s home game against Norwich and will ask Ryan Giggs to take over as caretaker boss for the rest of the season.

Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp is also on United’s radar and is ready to talk to them.

Sources close to Klopp revealed on Monday that there has been no contact at the moment, but added he would be more than keen to come.
