We desperately need Fulham and Norwich to draw, as a win for Fulham will give them a LOT of momentum and they have an easier run in than Norwich.

We then have to hope that Norwich fail to get no more than one point, with a few heavy defeats in their last 4 games. Their goal difference could possibly end up worse than ours.

We need to get something, at least 2 wins and 2 draws out of our last 5 games.

It has to start against Southampton with at least a draw. Then absolutely must wins against Stoke and Sunderland, hopefully Newcastle too.

We need to get to 34 points by the time we play Chelsea and if we get anything from that game, or even a narrow defeat it may be enough to keep us up.

However, we can quite easily stay up in terms of mathematics. Is it likely we will win the next 3 games? of course not, but IF..... i suppose anything is still possible.

lambert has a clear path to the world cup squad. Him Lallana and Shaw will want to make sure they are all injury free for the rest of the season

its a bonus that Rodrigues is injured one of southamptons best players this season, lambert always a danger but he isn't out and out scoring lately, llana obviously the other main threat, we keep them quite I think we can pull off a massive upset but it depends if the players show guts and heart where it matters most
