After watching the dispatches programme the other night on channel 4, I thought it may be a good time to tell the world about our group of men, who are both passionately gay and Cardiff City fans.
Gay men are not all effeminate queens, and contrary to many hackneyed old beliefs , some of us also like sport.
There is a group of us, we meet in a gay pub before the match for a few pints, go to the football together, then afterwards we go back to the pub for some getting to know each other time, thats when anything can happen!![]()
Anyone can get involved (as long as you are gay) there are about 27 of us at the moment.
Thanks for reading.

aderynglas2 wrote:surely the problem in the game for players and for supporters is groups such as this segregating themselves from othe fans because of their sexual preference. You say anyone can be a part of your group as long as you're gay. How would you react if you couldn't be part of a group because you were straight? If you want opinions and thoughts to change then groups like this are not the way forward.

People are Gay. People are Straight. Some people like both.
Consenting adults can do as they choose.
If a fan wants to come out of the closet then good on him. His/Her friends can either accept it or reject it.
Personally I have a few pals male and female that are openly gay, And a few who still try to hide it.
They can come out in their own time. Just hope they realise that I am their friend because of who they are and not what they are.

Ridiculous idea, football fans should have no other agenda other than wanting the team to win. Obviously a wind-up

This is an example of the biggotry we are trying to combat, its so alien to you that a group of gay men could enjoy football together, that you can only assume it must be a "wind up"

What a contradiction.
You want to integrate and be accepted as a normal football supporter but then want your own section.
F*ck off

The problem is ignorance, you dont have issues with family stands, so why have an issue with a gay area? The families sit together because they dont want to hear you all swearing, and we want to sit together because of hetro male biggotry

Have you ever considered that many minority people love football, but dont go because they are scared of aggressive white hetro men? surely we should do everything we can to encourage a broad church, both in terms of diverse colour and sexuality

Many minority people do go to the football and dont place such demands as having their own section.

In effect, white hetro men have their own stand (95% of the stadia) , so do families, but you dont want us gays to have a small section, why are you so ignorant?
