" PEACEFUL PROTEST - MARCH 22ND LIVERPOOL HOME "

Thu Mar 06, 2014 7:35 pm

Many of you will be aware that a demonstration and protest is planned prior to the home match against Liverpool on Saturday March 22nd.

The reason for the peaceful protest is to call on our club to restore its identity back to blue.

Cardiff City Supporters Club and Cardiff City Supporters Trust have given their full backing to this demonstration and with the support of Cardiff City Forum and Cardiff City Message Board (CCMB) and every Cardiff City supporter that wishes for the club to return to its rightful colour then this protest will give each and every one of us the opportunity to peacefully protest to the club that we wish to see our identity restored at the earliest possible time.

I have spoken with the members of Cardiff City Travel Group who I have phone numbers for (Dibs Travel, Gezza, Nosher and Guff CF14 Bus, Saddam) and they are fully supportive of this protest, Carlos Coaches and Bluebirds Unite are supporting too.

A statement will be released in the next few days detailing the itinerary for the protest.

In the meantime keep wearing your blue to the games and encourage those who you know to do the same.

The biggest and most pleasing factor for myself here is that with the support of the Supporters Club and the Trust and everyone protesting as Cardiff City fans in unison will send a strong and clear message that we want our colour returned.

One group, One agenda :ayatollah:

I hope it doesn't turn into a tan out protest and please keep the racists away.

As long as it's a peaceful organised protest to regain identity and not a piss up outside the castle I'm all for it :ayatollah:

This needs to be the big one! advertising in papers may be a good idea as for many supporters do not use the forum or have Facebook. We need to make sure it is as good as it can be :ayatollah:

Look forward to seeing the agenda Carl.
Hopefully a peaceful non racist march will bring tan to the table to speak to supporters regarding all issues.
A crucial issue will be season ticket sales and league position come the march.
Part of me hopes that this will bring sensible dialogue and tan will actually sit down and have the meeting he has promised previously with supporters but the other side of the coin is that an excess of 20k in season ticket sales will probably in his mind justify his position upon which he would probably shut the travel club down out of spite.

Your right Steve the fans have been waiting nearly two years for dialogue and so far nothing.

This protest is being organised as a peaceful one and racism of any kind is an absolute no-no and is not welcomed at all.

sadly i have not renewed as i cant stand another season of politics with mr tan,,, and ile only join the club when the circus has gone... ile definately be joining the protest to advocate our colours are restored, Mr Tan failed, he may have the money but he has failed to create a partnership with the supporters at home ... yes he has tried to make money selling shirts abroad, but at a cost of destroying our club and our identity,

This is about CCFC remaining CCFC and not a toy for mr tan,,,,, sorry to rant , but i feel our club has been tarnished under the control of mr tan,,,,,, yes mr tan im not one of your imaginary 90%,, you have seriously got it wrong .

Shame so many city fans have not renewed and mr tans antics have ruined our time in the premiership..

TAN OUT..........................

Thank you Carl and to everyone else who's organising and backing the event.
Hopefully there'll be a huge, peaceful and respectful turnout.
Some hope at last.

Really good that everyone is joining together look forward to seeing what is planned. I hope we are not pinning all our hopes on a March. This as been done already and didn't gather a lot of support. If he wants he doesn't have to look out of the windows and his cronies will tell him it is only the 5% again vinny boy. The one place your guaranteed unequivocal support is in the ground. No one can say they were working and couldn't make the earlier time of the protest . If there is a March please organise something during the game as well. This will get more exposure as the Asian t.v companies are more likely to pick up something like this than something outside the ground.

:ayatollah: This is all good and thank you Carl for facilitating this. Its key thst thr various groups are now unified with this. We should ask Karl (he of the gifted graphic design skills) if he could work on some graphics as he's brilliant at that. I would imagine that various forum members could also contribute with some assistance with the protest too and I'm certainly up for that in the areas that I can help with.

Provided the return to blue / Bluebird are secured at some stage in the future then those organising the protest are accepting of Tan's continued involvement ?!?!

Glad all groups are pulling together, what I used to love most about watching the City was the togetherness of the fans. Can I make a suggestion, if the protest ends up outside the front entrance (which I hope it does) can it be from 1-30 onwards, I think people were put off at the boxing day time. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I know this might not be everyone's cup of tea but are there any plans to get liverpools fans involved. Met plenty on holidays who had a lot of time for Cardiff due to their welcome when the finals were here and think what is going on is disgusting.

Great idea. I'll be there. My questions are though how is tan gonna take notice of this, for all he knows it might not have happened and he will be oblivious to the march therefore making it irrelevant?
