Hypocrisy on here

Mon Mar 03, 2014 6:39 pm

As most of you know I was a big fan of DJ, sadly his time was up and I respected the clubs decision to move on after a successful spell, cementing his place as undoubtedly the best manager Cardiff City have ever had, and that my friends is a FACT.

Now, I was a browser on this forum during that time and the propagdanda and hatred that many had on here for DJ was astounding. Yet the same faces backed Malky all the way. Here is something for you all to consider. If DJ had squandered the HUGE amount of money that Malky had at his disposal on absolute shite would you still give him the benefit of the doubt?

I think DJ and Ole would of done far better in the way of spending the 40 odd mil Milky had on transfers. Imagine if Milky just had 15 mil like most promoted sides do, he would of bought just Medel knowing milky.

Yeah but DJ wasn't very good at doing the ayatollah mate so he had to go :ayatollah:

All because he was fan friendly with his fist pump.I was also a dave jones fan,but your right it was his time to go.Ole should at least have a chance with his own signings.Thats what malky got the chance to do.

He didn't thump his chest and didn't make out that he would manager CCFC for free, DJ had to go.

I liked Jones. Defiantly one of our better managers. With what he achieved on the budget he had is something to be respected. Plus I firmly believe he'd have gotten us up if he was given Malky's budget last season.

It's just that he didn't praise the fans and the "group" all the time is probably why so many dislike Jones. Personally I'd have liked him back in a DoF role when it was rumoured late last year.

When malky first came to us a few on here were saying give him a transfer window or two before judging him.. now the same ones are judging ole as not good enough after 11 games ..
Dave Jones had his teams playing good football but was let down by his man management..

Malky wasted 10 million, that is all. Brayford cant be called as waste as he hasnt played yet.

If I bought a car and didnt use it, then bought another car to use as I no longer liked the first one, then it doesnt matter how good the first car is, it was a waste of money.

10m that all?
If I wasted 10m in my place of work, I'd expect that sack also.

Agree and disagree

Jones would have spent the money better and im sure delivered more excitement but although im not a malky fan he took no messing and run a tight disciplined ship which maybe was what was needed to finally cross the line.

Under Jones it was like a holiday camp. He will say he let the players be responsible for themselves as they were adults, but todays footballers need a tight grip with an iron fist.

Managing today is more than just the 90 mins and thats where Malky was better than Jones.

Would have been a 20m waste if Tan didnt pack him back off to Norway and he sat his contract out.

Yes you're right on his ability to control players. Everyone remembers some of the players getting pissed before the Middlesbrough game.

That is one thing Malky can be rightly praised for is installing that ethic in the team and being firm with them. Then getting rid of players who didn't fit into his ethos and brought more hard nosed players in who worked for the side and gave it 100%.

But that is why Jones will probably never get another side promoted or a decent job again. He was out of touch with modern players and as you said, the place was like a holiday camp.

Re: Hypocrisy on here

Jones is out of touch with the modern game as rightly or wrongly he didnt pander to the media, the fans or the players.

Personally I prefer someone who tells it like it is, call a spade a spade, but in todays society and especially football that is frowned upon.

How about Jones as Director of football, dealing with transfers/recruitment etc. Malky as our defensive coach & Ole as our attacking coach? All we'd need is somebody to put the ball in the onion bag and we'd be sorted

10m, that is all. 3/4 of what Hull spent in the summer and done just fine before then. Wow, 10m for a recently promoted side is huge and you act like it's okay to just throw that away

Brayford hasn't played so he can be considered a waste you tw*t. Signing someone for x amount and then decided not to play him for some reason, then loan him out to a third tier team is considered a waste in my eyes.

Malky as defensive coach? are the rules changing to 15 aside.........because the defence he left us was poor.. was only any good if there were 8 back there

Re: Hypocrisy on here

So Malky made a massive mistake signing Cornelius for £9 mill, contracts all written out and signed off by Simon Lim.

Oops I forgot Malky made City anything up to £160 Million on achieving promotion to the Premier League.

As Tan said do you think Malky would have got promoted without Tans investment?

He hasnt made the club 160m either, unless of course all the players and staff are going to work for free?

As for Lim signing the contracts off, as Tan said, he was told by the football people to leave the football decisions to them.

Listen, I want Tan gone, enoughs enough of this circus but lets actually blame him for things hes guilty of and giving the manager a small fortune to spend on players that were not up to standard is not one of them.

We are going down this season because Malky didnt sign a striker, and with the money he had at his disposable he could have signed 2 decent ones.

Signed 3 f*cking right backs but didnt sign a decent striker.

As Kammy would say "Unbelievable Jeff"

I would say Tans money got us promoted personally, without Tans money we would be a mid table champ team under malky no doubt.
