Oh well at least we will know exactly were we are in terms of the rebrand after the interview, im sure they will quiz him on it, some people seem to think he may change his mind one day, we find out Saturday!

He better not even tease a name change. Many people would be out for that reason alone

If Tan changes our name Jack, then that will be finally it for myself.

I Don't think the BBC have the balls to ask him anything that may upset him , if it was on sky I think they would though. I can see him teasing about the name change again though, if he did that I really don't know if I would go again with Cardiff Dragons

Re: Tan interview

Thu Feb 27, 2014 5:10 pm

Yes name change is definitely a step to far.

Re: Tan interview

Thu Feb 27, 2014 5:20 pm

Would not surprise me if he stated whole team to play in rod hull and emu fancy dress costume and welding boots to hit free kicks harder.

Re: Tan interview

Interested to see what CoCo the clown has to say, I know he's not going to reveal all his plans but any hints of further rebranding and I'm going to find it hard to Renew, don't know where we b*stard stand.

Darran, I think you might be right with regard to the BBC not 'pushing' controversial question...

Hiowever, I also think it highly unlikely the interview will be broadcast 'live' and questions will likely be 'pre-set' (not to avoid the 'issues' but to prepare Tan for the answers he will give) and any he doesn't want to answer will simply be cut out as 'not newsworthy'

Personally (and I speak from NO position of being ITK on this one ;) ) I don't think he wil be announcing anything too dramatic, although I just have a feeling that he MIGHT just try to placate the overall situation with some carefully chosen words

He (Tan) has been pretty quiet recently and there are some who say that he has taken 'guidance' on how to better his standing with the club's fans. Whilst it is easy to say "That's easy, give us back the Blue", I don't think it is that simple for Tan himself any more

Call it 'clutching at straws' if you like (I tend to see my glas as half full rather than half empty ;) ) I see certain changes that have taken place (e.g. the return of Blue to the shops) as positive signs that there just MIGHT be a chink of light at the end of a very dark tunnel

I live in hope! :ayatollah:

I had to read that twice then. I thought you said Annis if Tan changes our name to JACK!

I just spat my tea everywhere!!! :laughing5:

Re: Tan interview

Annis,

I've tried to see what the refund policy is on Season Tickets that have been renewed. Incase of any additional rebranding / name change next season, but doesn't say in the 'customer charter'. Any idea if we can get a refund in the summer before the start of new season if the worst happens?

Re: Tan interview

Thu Feb 27, 2014 6:05 pm

Should be interesting.

Re: Tan interview

If they changed the name you could get a full refund. I purchased tickets to watch Cardiff City FC, if they change the name then they have changed the product.

Premier league wouldn't allow it ,can't see the league doing it either ,kicked up a fuss about hull trying too already

If it wasn't allowed then Allam wouldn't be trying to do it. It's the fans who are kicking up a fuss about it. The FA don't give two hoots as long as their pockets are lined

For me, a name change has always been the ' straw that breaks the camels back ' if it happened I would give it up

Premier league chairman said that it would have to go to the committee but he's against the idea ,you think the ra want every tom Dick and harry clubs changing their names to red bul untied etc ?

It's what the league is now, they don't care about the non-fashionable teams like us. It's only when the 'fashionable' teams are affected that there's an outcry. If tan had tried to rebrand a team like Liverpool or Man utd, I'd put my mortgage on it that the FA and premier league would have stepped in.

Good post & agree with regards to the BBC.
May be wrong but isn't the blue in the shops nearly all retro stuff. I was told when I tried to buy a retro top last year that they were on order & would take some time to come in.
