Just seen this on Facebook, guessing it is from the letters sent in to the Echo.

The guy can't honestly believe what he has written ?

Sadly the guy is genuine.

A lifelong Chelsea fan claiming to have followed Cardiff for many a year. He said he sponsored the man city game someway in 91 although the game was in 94.

He got scorned last night on Feb and ended up blocking guys like me. There was always a chance someone like him would turn up and last night was the night.

I hope it is a wind up. Very sad to read that some "fans" have such a view on the re-brand.

Don't think it's a wind up, just someone who genuinely believes that the position the club is in the colour of the shirt is the least of it's problems at the moment. Be honest on Boxing Day at the protest about 1000 to 1500 turned up out of a Cardiff attendance of about 24000, the majority really don't care what colour we play in, it's the team they want to support not the colour of the shirt.

I agree... I support Cardiff City

You're right and the guy has a point! (though I will probably be called a troll for daring to disagree with carl or Annis

HOW does he have a point Natman BLUE?!

Please don't tell me that you actually think Hull won because the fans were wearing blue?! :laughing5:

No, I don't. But I think the point of getting behind the team rather than being vocal against Tan or anything else is a valid one. Better to support than unsettle the team.

And what is also ironic if you think about it is that you could consider hull to be a club in turmoil or split as much as ourselves with their proposed re-branding to Hull Tigers.

Why can't you get behind the team and wear blue at the same time?!

I'm not saying you can't other wise it would suggest you can't wear an away kit to home games and that's just daft. My point is around the chanting.

And also the reasoning behind it: to cause unrest! It all adds up to destabilizing the club but more importantly the team.

Hull fans protested through the game and won 4-0... Shows you're talking bollocks. :laughing6:

This letter is nothing about the chants anyway.... It's about fans wearing blue and it affecting the team, which you said he had a point...

So please enlighten us?

I mean he has a point in his overall preposition. If we don't support the team as opposed to protesting then its going to reflect badly on performances. Look chuckles, i want what is best for the team, nothing else and that is the whole point behind my argument. Let's put the differences to one side to cheer the team to get out of the relegation scrap we're in, don't think anyone could argue with that?

His overall preposition is that we should wear red, not blue. He has no point whatsoever.

Hull protested on Saturday too & won 4-0. We lost because the team were shit, not because the stands were wearing blue. :laughing6:

From what I've seen the negativity on the terrace is transferring to the players on the pitch.

And the lad chuckles is like that fella baker and we all know what he's about.

I'm not impressed by the red/blue divide by our fans, but can't believe the echo would print this drivel it is a extreme minority view of the current situation that the club is going through

Re: THIS MUST BE A WIND UP SURELY

Of course the OP has a point.

Imagine the last day of the season and we need a win against Chelsea to survive. Do you really think that it would do our team a lot of good to see a sea of blue in the stadium, and just because a load so called supporters can't put aside their personal preferences and fully support THE TEAM when it needs it the most? And those same people think that they are so loyal.

Cardiff City now play in red - like it or not. By all means campaign for our heritage, but don't delude yourselves that you are supporting THE TEAM by wearing blue.
