A forum for all things Cardiff City

Dæhli has played his first full match for city. He is a very talented teenager, and you have seen how good he is already.
He should learn to pass instead of shooting some times i think, but very good with the ball.
Dæhli Could be a strengthening for City this season already.
Eikrem and Berget are average players who will not make a difference in PL. They know how Ole wants to play,
But they are not going to make a difference this season.
The spanish guy Cala looked good to me yesterday. Cardiff must have a defence that dont give away easy goals,
Especially at home. Hope Cala can make the difference that the team need.
Cala Seems to be a forward threat for us as well. Looking forward to see him in PL vs Hull.?
Now, what will be the best 11 to start against Hull. We have tested and seen all the players. Now Ole must Get his
Strongest start line-up, and Ask the players to give 110 0/0 as the most important match of the year.?

My choice would be:
Marshall
KTC, Caulker, Cala, John
Noone, Mutch, Eikrem, Daehli, Zaha
Jones
Medel injured and Bellers banned - I think a 4-1-4-1 would blitz hull

Mutch is injured as well.

Fabio for young declan and id go with that team
Sun Feb 16, 2014 5:17 pm
Do people really think KTC is worth a place in the team?! He's absolute dogshit, Stevie Wonder could do a better job! He's so awkward he makes it look painful
Sun Feb 16, 2014 5:30 pm
Ole said Mutch should be back....
Re: KTC, he's a better option than McNaughton IMO.
Super Kev was at fault for Man U's first goal and I don't think he's attacking enough for us in a must win game

Eikrem I thought looked good and very athletic midfielder. Bosses the midfield and keeps the ball well.
Daelhi looked good, needs more confidence in him when he's on the ball but you know he is a threat when you have 2-3 players on him every time.
Berget looked average and couldn't even control the ball.
Cala was excellent.

Agree, Cala must play, eikrem is good enough, but not outstanding to make a difference
Dæhli must on, maybe as a sub?

Pleased with Cala, he looks good.
Daehli looks class but a bit lightweight and knocked off the ball too easily, hopefully he Ole can work on that and his strength.
Eikram is slowly getting better and up to speed.
Berger doesn't look ready yet but still early days.
So we do at least have some choice now the only problem is we don't seem to know our best team and we are short of time to keep making changes, two massive games coming up Hull and Fulham at home are both winnable we need to go for it

I don't know what the hell happened there but he can't be worse than the rest of our fullbacks, that is our real weakness.....

Eikrem is good, strong and can play.
The fact he can play will piss off Cardiff fans because actual football is toxic to them.
Sun Feb 16, 2014 7:19 pm
For me you have to play Daehli from the start. I don't agree he's to lightweight. They said that about Kim last season and look at his performances towards the end of the season when he was easily our best player. He's a professional footballer and from what I've seen already he's pretty tenacious and looks hard to knock off the ball. He also wins a fair share in the tussle, so I'm really not zure at all about these lightweight comments. I also saw the remark about him needing to pass a bit more but we never shoot, so we can't complain that he's having a go at goal. How the hell are we going to score otherwise. Most people on here are always saying we never shoot.
Young or not he looks like one of the best we have either out wide or even I. The hole behind a striker. I think he could inspire us and maybe save our season.

Same as my team but I would play it as a 4-4-1-1 with Dhaeli off jones. Mutch breaking forward and Eikrem holding

Agree Dæhli should start, and shoote and score. However his best side is to give good passes to strikers.
Unfortunately City have no good strikers.

I'd go for it!
Marshall
Fabio Cala Caulker John
Eikrem
Noone Mutch Zaha
Daehli
Jones
Bench: Campbell, Turner, Berget, Cowie, McNaughton, Lewis
Not his biggest fan but thought Don "son of Malky" did well Sat...

It annoys me that our fans moan about the signings we make because they haven't heard of a player, but once they see them play they start licking they're ass.
Daehli is a great player, eikrim is not too bad but needs some work, but i would play him over Whitts against Hull.
2 upfront against Hull, we need to go for it, all or nothing is my opinion.
Come on City

We conceded two goals against a Championship side, yet Turner is the one everyone wants out.
KTC? Did he complete any passes against Wigan?

I thought KTC was woeful against Wigan. Looked a liability every time he was near the ball.

The best part is when he jumped out of the way for the first goal.
Turner had a good game against Villa, but that was against a forward he likes to play against big strong not massively mobile. If he gets his place back good for him because he did well.
But it's likely Ole will want Cala and Caulker to start. Every manager has his favourites and that may be how he sees the team.

Yep. Fabio is no better Paul. I'm amazed that we've bought 4 RBs over the past two seasons & not one has stepped up and done anything better than McNaughton.

Quite odd that form wise our best RB is on loan to Sheff Utd.
