It's such a shame......

Sun Feb 16, 2014 12:27 am

I'm not trying to score points before I even start this piece, but I think it's worth mentioning, for context, that I have supported this club for 34 years, and have always dreamt about us playing at the top table.

Believe me, nobody danced more, drunk more, stayed up later, was happier than me on the night of 16th April 2013. At last all my dreams were fulfilled. We'd made it.......Happy days........

I'd accepted the colour change, I think I was labelled a reluctant red, but who cares, we were in the Premier, I had a season ticket and was going to enjoy it come what may, even if we were relegated......it was going to be all hands to the pump and all stick together........as we've always done for the many years I've been supporting OUR club......

I knew it would be tough, I'd openly said I would snap any hand off that offered me 17th place at anytime during the season.

First home match.....we now all know the score, hope and belief now seeping through my veins, we can do this.

Then rumours, and more rumours, and subsequently absolute farce......making MY club look like an absolute laughing stock. Unfortunately not just one line of crap, or two, or three or four.......but many more.

My season of enjoyment, come what may, on the football pitch (which incidently was all I was concerned about) has turned into an utter fiasco off it! Press here, press there........press every f*cking where.....

New Manager and I pray things calm down and we focus on all that counts i.e. on the pitch (it's not rocket science!).

Just when things are settling.....BOSCH! the LIMmeister delivers another well timed classic!!!!!!

There's always a straw that breaks the proverbial Camel.........that was it.

I'll be back to watch my beloved Cardiff again, and for many years in the future, but not while that clown with the dodgy trouser fashion sense controls MY CLUB!

Good luck to all the players.....you can succeed in spite of the system, not because of it........

Look at you all coming out now. You all accepted the red, defended Tan at every opportunity and shot down people like me because all you cared about is Premier League football. Now we're in the relegation zone, getting bad results here and there and all of a sudden you can see how much of a clown Tan is. Unbelievable.

Reality was always going to hit home .... Some just saw earlier than others. I guess others lived in hope longer whilst others rumbled the extent of the truth ..... Personally I can see it only getting worse.

I have read the whole post.

So it's just a coincidence that you've now given up supporting City for the time being whilst we're getting bad results and sitting in the relegation zone? You would not being saying any of this if we were doing alright on the pitch. I don't believe for one second that Simon Lim's statement crossed the line for you as that's nothing compared to what's already happened.

Like you said, you accepted the colour change and didn't care because it meant Premier League football. It just shows that all you care about is success. I don't feel sorry for you at all, fans like you deserve this.

You Sir are an irritation....but I will try to answer your inane drivel by point! Here goes....

(P.S. Taking words out of context is bad.......but actually putting words in babes mouths is paramount to criminal!)

"given up supporting City" I never said that.....if you actually read the text, and more importantly...UNDERSTAND it, which I accept for one as blinkered as you is difficult, you will know that will never happen.

But more to the point, please show me in ANY of my posts where I have stated "and didn't care because it meant Premier League football"....mmmmm.....more poetic license.

Let me you help you out young man. If you're going to criticise any poster on this forum....GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT.....and yes I am shouting to try and wake you up from the the cyber farce you are obviously living in.

I don't hate you but I do feel for you...as a fellow human being.

"I'll be back to watch my beloved Cardiff again, and for many years in the future, but not while that clown with the dodgy trouser fashion sense controls MY CLUB!"

You've clearly implied here that you won't "watch my beloved Cardiff again" whilst Vincent Tan (that clown with the dodgy fashion sense) is in charge of the club. Yes or no?

"I'd accepted the colour change, I think I was labelled a reluctant red, but who cares, we were in the Premier".

Here you imply that you don't care about the colour change as you say "who cares" because "we were in the Premier" (we're in the Premier League). Yes or no?

Not to cause arguements, I seen a good post yesterday that said the promotion felt somewhat hollow to them, I concur with that. I wasn't estatic or acting like a dream had been fulfilled

This is why we are in the position that we'r in right now. It was premiership at all costs even if it meant losing out identity, our history and our pride as a club. As for sticking together, I don't think that's been the case since the rebrand. All have been singing from a different hymn sheet.

Though I am glad that you have seen the light and I hope there is many more like you.

@Jon

In fairness to you youve taken an anti rebrand stance for a long time on this forum, anti VT, anti Red etc etc, I still don't think that gives you the morale high ground over people who have had to self label
'reluctant reds'?

What can we label people like you?
'Pro blue, but happy to plough money into VT's pockets'

Again, probably unfair for me to say that but people like TLG would be completely justified calling you that.

I think so called 'pro blues' should be very happy that more fans are becoming disgruntled whatever the circumstances or timing.

Who said Pro Blues were happy to plough money into Tans pocket. Perhaps they are content to do that knowing that they are keeping the blue alive in the stadium and getting under Tans skin because trust me on this Tan hates seeing the blue.

No true pro blue is happy to put money Tans way but some have considered it a sacrifice to keep the fight for the blue alive. This has meant being mocked by the likes of the OP who has enjoyed belittling the blue brigade hence why the OP deserves the reaction from the like of Jon.

I just feel its to easy to judge the OP here, he clearly states he has watched city for 34 years so these aren't the first hard times he has experienced. I respect the OP for having the guts to come forward and say he is begining to have a change to stance on the matter, he was clearly going to get pelters. I bet there any many people experiencing back to back losses for the first time this season, they may well turn their backs on the club, did you expect any diffrent? The OP is not one of those.

Its easy to judge him becuase he has put this upon himself.

As far as I am concerned anyone who has thrived on belittling the pro blues but now has started to question the regime now deserve the scorn they get. They could be genuine with their reasons but must be prepared for the knockback that are coming their ways.

Personally I find the term "Pro Blue" offensive.
It would mean to suggest there is an "Anti-Blue" faction within our Fan Base.
There is not.
It's another example of how self destructive our fan base is without the rebrand.
It's laughable that posters have been trying all of the past 18 months to get reluctant reds to Ditch the idea and when someone openly says they're going to do it, the get slated by the judgmental I told you so brigade.

The only people who deserve slating are those who thrived on belittling the pro blue. Most reluctant reds just left it at that with some even admitting they sold out. They are the ones that will be welcomed back.

Tan caused the initial split in the fanbase (on the messageboards as in real life there is hardly a split at all) but its the fans that are driving the enormous wedge in that split.

So which group of fans fault is it Craig ?

Those who March and demonstrate they wish to remain blue ?

Another question is that the case that in real life it's different ? .... I wouldn't know as obviously don't attend those real life situations , from what I have seen there are plenty wandering around in red and stacks of kids going around in red kits too, all professing to be Cardiff Supporters albeit only really started going , so is that the " real life " situation that the old blue fan has been watered Down totally and Tans rebranding plans and vision has become a real life success ?

Or is the Apathy of the former blue supporting fan formed by premiership delights ?

What is this fascination with the statement "Anti Blue".

Pro Blue has been a well established saying since the rebrand. You find that offensive.

You are a weird one.

Every "group" of fan thinks they are right. Given a straight choice between blue or red i would be gobsmacked if anybody actually chose red.

Different people think different things. If the name changed I would be gone because to me, the clubs identity is in the name. To others its the colour we play in at home.

I worry that if Tan went we would be crippled, not just relegation (been through that a few times) but liquidation. Its a gamble im not willing to take. Others are willing to take it and thats up to them. We didnt exactly have queues of buyers when Tan came onboard and saved us from HMRC (there is no disputing that)

I wish there was a local businessman who would take charge because he loves the club, but they aren't interested.

People peddle the line "id rather be blue in league 2" but in my head the choice isnt that simple as I think league 2 wouldnt happen and we would be dissolved. People think different but there is no proof either way.

Steve, I believe, and have done for a while that Tan is the fall guy and taking the shit for a bigger fish who is pulling his strings.......time will tell.

Sometimes its a case of better the devil you know.
