Tom Ince and Joe Ledley score

Sat Feb 08, 2014 3:28 pm

Ince looking excellent, a goal and an assist. Ledley with his first Prem goal.

Palace have mustered a very good side here.

Ledley not good enough you said

Just scored for Crystal Palace you never said.

Why we never went back in for him I never know. He'd have slotted in perfectly alongside Medel.

He,s in a better organised squad, will do well for Pullis at Palace, two Welshmen together :ayatollah: :old: :ayatollah:

Players Cardiff chased at Palace

Sat Feb 08, 2014 3:37 pm

A goal for Tom Ince and a goal for Joe Ledley, on their debuts.

Damn, if Scott Dann scores that'll be 3/3...

Re: Players Cardiff chased at Palace

Don't think we chased Ledley or Dann

Re: Players Cardiff chased at Palace

Given his contract status I think Malky would have wanted Ledley. Good move to play him at LB very solid there would have been an asset.

January transfer window we were linked with them both, I think!

He's running the show Craig. He is easily good enough for PL. Our fans are deluded honestly.

For a lot of fans (i.e. those with memories) it is more about the way Joe left the club, but that is an old debate TBF

He almost did the same to Lennon's Celtic, too! :(

Only time will tell if he is a top Premier League player, but by your judgement on one game, Kenwyne Jones is a world-beater too, so we did well to sign him when we did! ;) :ayatollah:

Come on Sven, you know when a player is good enough almost straight away. Look at all the people who praised Daehli on his first cameo. Its not hard to tell whether someone is suitable for that level. Ledley has played superbly.

Ledley is playing LB may I add and has scored. Out of position and is doing pretty okay for a makeshift LB.

Look at the list of players that have managed to score in the premier league, don't mean scoring makes you good enough. He's good enough for palace, we have better.

Read my post again...

I don't want him back, in the main, because of the way he left in the beginning

I have no doubt that Ledley "can do a job" but only time will tell if he is the Premier League world-beater you are building him up to be ;)

World beater? Cheers for putting words in my mouth Sven.

Can he do a job for us? Yes. Then we should have signed him. He would have slotted in perfectly alongside Medel and provided better support. Now is not the time for sentiment.

Ince and Ledly might of scored yesterday but both looked shite

Re: Ledley not good enough you said

Okay so Pulis who has picked up Palace and got some okay signings in has lifted the spirit and West Brom are under performing and have no confidence ATM.

Ledley scores on his debut, well done to him.

But judging him on one game v a very poor West Brom ATM doesn't mean he is good enough, let's see how he kicks on before passing judgement on we should of signed him.

Sentiment, passion?? Call it what you want ;)

I don't want Ledley back at the club he (and his agent) let down so badly with their shenanigans and if you can accept that behaviour from a 'local boy' then that is up to you. Others with memories feel the same

I know we could have 100% done with the money at the time, but Joe proved his lack of care for the Bluebirds (IMHO) by taking the best 'pay day' on offer, rather than following his stated ambition of playing in the Premier League and ensuring the club got 'something' for their troubles over many years

Having watched highlights of the game, I would suggest that neither Joe nor Ince were the best players on the pitch and you are being blinded by their goal contributions (as we were by Jones debut last week)
