Shame as his defending on the post is as good as it gets.
For the attacking side.

He has been a revelation for us. To the point I'm not sure Michu is guaranteed his place back.

I'd prefer he played. worst player on the park at CCS. Ruins their style of play by trying long balls constantly which either miss their target or need 2 touches to control, thus breaking down their rhythm or giving us the chance to pressurise the ball carrier. Scores the odd decent goal, but wastes so much more.

Also a knob who's likely to get sent off, as he should have for his off-the ball swing at Whittingham which was 10x worse than Carroll's on Chico.

We just need to hope for a strong ref.

He has been one of the only ones contributing to our style of play of late.

Not sure if he is a big game player though.

So your style is knocking 30 yard chest high balls which take 2 touches to control.
no wonder your form is so sh1t.

Nope, which is why he doesn't often do it.

He is direct. If it wasnt for him we would be static. By far the standout performer of the last 3 months.

Well he did it last time and was a major reason why you didn't turn up. Hope he plays today as he's not clever enough to realise where he went wrong.

I disagree. We haven't turned up all season, Jonjo has been one of the only bright sparks of our season and was player of the year candidate until Bony turned into the beast he has become.

Nah! Jonjo is slow in thought, the ball retention of Swansea has slowed considerably this season, doesn't get the ball out of his feet and pass quickly enough. He can strike a ball at goal well though.

He is most certainly not slow in thought. He has superb vision and almost too quick in thought sometimes. Anything good about Swansea in recent months has come through him. Im pretty sure that feeling is unanimous among the fan base watching him week in week out.

Apart from Bony he has undoubtedly been the first name on the team sheet.

So you say the word legend gets thrown about too easily roathy, yet describe shelveys vision as "superb"

I'd say xavi and iniesta have superb vision, anyone playing for either of our teams can be described as good/excellent at best.

Then you dont know what superb means.

The dictionary definition is :

1. Very Good: excellent
2. Impressively splendid.

Now the fact you have said "good/excellent at best" suggests you also think his vision is "superb at best".

Legend is quite a distinctive descriptive word, which relates to an individual that does something scarcely believable hence "legendary". Superb is a measure of excellence which is broad in its appointment, often differing with context.

No your wrong and I'm right, I have my own rating system and have superb above such words as excellent.

Overall he's been referred to as a liability by jacks on here.

Thats a minute detail, defending on the post isn't a position. Its like saying he is a liability because his penalty taking is crap.

I haven't seen anyone call him a liability. Only waddle going mental at me because he thought I said I wanted him replaced with Michu when indeed I was saying quite the opposite. So ive only seen praise, and rightly so.

He will definitely be among the faves for player of the year.

It's a position when defending set pieces. He's prone to go missing, most recently against west ham last game.

It is a position anyone can occupy. If he's that bad then someone else will do it, not rocket science.

In open play he is the last person to go missing, hes involved in everything.

Id suggest If his weakness is defending the near post on set pieces then hes doing well. :laughing6:

You seem to like intelligent discussion, so why would I give it to you?
People like you are easy, I knew by writing my post you would have to respond with fact and post a long winded reply.

I'm waiting to go on a night shift having a cracking shit so thought I'd humour myself and interact with you.
