City have named 24 players in their 25 man squad and once the paperwork is finalised on the Cala deal then he will take the last vacant place in the 25 man squad.

Cala's played for Sevilla 19 times this season and he has also played in Europe, so I imagine he would have played against the jacks already this season and will have more experience than Turner at handling Bony? Also, Swansea aren't a physical team, so I see no problem with Cala stepping in.
I would have concerns with Cala stepping in against a team like Stoke because they play the game the physical, British way. I would question a Spanish defender being able to handle the change of style and physicality, but I think Cala would be fine stepping straight in against Swansea with their continental style, possession football. Cala has seen all that before playing in Spain and he can't be a bad centre back to play 19 times for Sevilla this season surely? The way Turner and Hudson have both been performing lately, I don't see why Cala can't be thrown straight in to be honest.

Turner was NOT shocking last time. he was a bit hesitant a couple of times on the ball, but nothing came of it. And his defending in the second half was excellent.

Just realised Swansea played Valencia this season, not Sevilla! I always get them mixed up as they play in the same colours and they've always been in similar league positions towards the top the past few seasons! Doh!

"-That was too funny. When we left Sevilla told me that on Tuesday, could return home to pick up clothes and make the move. But the coach told me that if I wanted to try to play on Saturday (derby against Swansea) so would be impossible. I had brought only two changes! I had no boots. But then I said I had. I do not want to waste time. "Thu Feb 06, 2014 1:48 pm
