Kenwynne Jones

Sat Feb 01, 2014 8:42 pm

I dont think ive seen a lazier c**t in all my years watching football.

An absolure disgrace to the proffesion.

He was about 40 yards behind the counter attack more times than I care to remember.

How we won that game I will NEVER know.

Illbe surprised we get anymore poinrs this season.

With that lazy c**t in the team we are going down.

Seems to have a spring in his chest and heat, and never got out of second gear all game!

I thought he done well

Re: Kenwynne Jones

Sat Feb 01, 2014 8:46 pm

I thought first half he had very little service and didn't feature much but that was down to the rest of the team not him .
Second half he won most things in the air , got in some good positions and scored a goal . He also did his bit defensively with some key clearances from the many corners they had .

I thought he had a decent debut for someone coming into a new team who hasn't played a lot of football .

Your right he was slightly off the pace on counter attacks but then again so would most people be when trying to keep up with the pace we now have in the team

Disagree with you there Polo.

He may not have pace but he certainly put himself about.

I thought Kenwyne Jones did well, cant judge him yet, needs more matches and is not match fit.

i think we need 4-4-2...kenwynne and campbell maybe :ayatollah:

Re: Kenwynne Jones

I doubt if Ole intended keeping him on for the whole game and was a bit surprised he didn't take him off to be replaced by Fraizer.

Ole obviously decided that he needed Gunnar on to shore up the defence but i thought the game mostly passed him by when he came on.

I felt he did the job well today, won most of his headers and had some nice touches on the ball too. Capped off his display with a true poacher's effort too :ayatollah:

I'm not that bothered about the counter attacking tbh! He's not the quickest player and we have Noone Bellamy and Zaha to make up the early ground. Would be nice to see him make some late runs into the box though maybe?

He's not fully match fit yet anyways, should get better as the weeks go by :ayatollah:

Lucky goal

Re: Kenwynne Jones

Anyone who thinks we were getting a 'star' striker is deluded. We know his style, we know the game that suits him. Stoke fans have told us he can be lazy and his size doesn't lend itself well to pace.

Judge him at that benchmark and he had a very good game. He chased down as much as his pace allowed and SCORED A GOAL.

I classed Earnshaw as a luxury, he used to put his head down and was not aware of better options around BUT he got us goals.

Don't judge KJ against multi- million pound strikers, judge him against his previous career and at the moment, he is doing well.

If he can score a few more lucky goals like that I won't care if he turns out to be worse than Rudy!

Well I will but we can ship him off in the sumemr then

polo I agree with you on most things but not on this one thought he did what the label says scores defends lots of corners in our box and there was lots of lay offs to midfield players

Chased down

Hes a lazy c**t. End of.

We are going down if he is all weve got to offer.

Glad anyway. Started to really despise our fanbase.

Worse than the geordies.

Wow, I thought he done everything expected of him. Considering his probable lack of match fitness, u cannot expect him to be up and down like campbe. His headers were shit hot and held the ball up well summit we been missing all season. Plus he scored what more can u ask for, looked a danger ffom every corner.

Was I watching a different game to you lot ??? :?

He got a defensive header away on nearly all the Norwich corners coming over into the box and scored a goal on his debut in a city shirt and he is not yet up to match fitness - Your a strange lot, I thought it was a wind up at first !!!

His chest downs were top notch too.

For me a good debut, hopefully will get better and better with squad awareness.

Bloooobirds forever !!!!   :old: :old:

I thought he had a marvellous game, the target man we've needed all season. Would love to see him in a double act with Campbell

Re: Kenwynne Jones

Thought Jones did ok, agree first half he could have done more, thought he was a decent second half. He was a spent force for last quarter. Thought he would have come off for Fraizer to run them ragged, but seemed Ole had already planned to bring Mutch off after his recent injury.
Jones was excellent in our box defending all those corners and the only thing we should be measuring is was he a better option than Odemwingie?
