No change under Ole

Wed Jan 29, 2014 12:50 pm

Same old City. Lots of possession but no cutting edge up front. 1 shot all game against a poor United team who were there for the taking. I'm all for giving Ole a chance but can't help thinking we should have gone for Tony Pulis. Proven at this level and it's no surprise Palace are up to 14th since he took over and are looking solid at the back. Don't win Saturday and we are a sure thing for relegation.

Dam Ole, we should have demolished shit teams like Arsenal, Man U and Man City.....especially in their back yard!

Have you been happy with the performances then?

Re: No change under Ole

Wed Jan 29, 2014 12:54 pm

Yes, as I can see Ole changing the way we play the game.

Can i ask, what were you expecting away to those 3 teams?

Re: No change under Ole

Wed Jan 29, 2014 12:55 pm

Less than one month given to totally switch to his style of football with players he hasn't signed.

Got to be a bit less harsh I think, although I understand since there really isn't much time for transition given the position we're in - but I think things will begin to change with new faces getting starts/more playing time soon.

when did we ever have lots of possession? especially away to one of the big clubs?

To at least have more than 1 shot on goal in a game. Your easily pleased. No difference to the way Malkys teams played.

yawn :sleepy2:

think we had more shots against west ham than we did in the last 6 or 7 matches under Malky.

Sorry mate but you're either blind or totally f*cking bonkers

Re: No change under Ole

So we should as well at home and let's be honest West Ham are rubbish.

We brought in attacking players from Molde so why not use them? We haven't got time for transition we need results now that's why in my opinion Pulis would have been the better option.

You said nothing has changed. It has.

Answer my question. Was you there last night to witness the performance?

But your thread does not say that. You said NO CHANGE UNDER OLE.

it has been proven to you that we were getting around 35% possession against teams like Arsenal and Chelsea. Last night we had 54% AT OLD TRAFFORD.

So there has been change. Now Ole needs to work on the shots on target.

But don't let this stop you ALWAYS seeing the negative.

Re: No change under Ole

Wed Jan 29, 2014 1:11 pm

No change. 1 shot and 0 points. I'll be happy to be proved wrong but we are going one way if we carry on performing this way. Not negative but realistic.

If you are going to use match stats to prove your point do not f*cking lie. We had 7 shots. 1 of which was on target. Malky had a precession of away matches where we had less than 40% possession against the likes of Norwich, Palace and Villa. And had games where we did not have ANY shots on target.

So your statement being 'No Change' is flat out false.

Re: No change under Ole

What has happened here has not been clever at all. I personally believe mM should have been allowed to carry on uninterrupted as it was a lesser of a risk than what has happened.

Even so Ole needs to be given a chance specially going on what he faced. February will tell us if we have made the right move. It will tell us if Ole will at best keep us up or bring us back up again next season or worse case not up to it.

I was not there but I watched a live stream. How is this relevant to the discussion?

Same old City. Lots of possession

You've contradicted yourself there.

Agree with lack of cutting edge up front but think that will come good now with our run of games and Ole getting his style accross

Re: No change under Ole

Wed Jan 29, 2014 1:27 pm

Do you even take any notice of shots OFF target?

Your opinion means nothing then Craig I'm sorry. Unless you were 1 of 3000 or so who had a 9/10 hr round trip on a Tuesday night your comments don't mean a lot.

So seeing the game on live TV renders opinions null and void??? I know we have some moron fans but f**k me thats ridiculous.

Ive had a season ticket for 17 years and visited 72 of the current 92 league grounds watching my team. I think my opinion counts just as much as the next person thanks.

Craig if those 3 games were spread out and we were picking up points in between them against lower teams nobody would bat an eye lid. People are only moaning now because they've all come consecutively and we therefore have lost multiple games in a row. Some of our fans are deluded expecting a result at OT.

Apparently, according to the OP your opinion doesnt count as you weren't at Old Trafford.
