Wales arrange Holland friendly.

Tue Jan 28, 2014 6:29 pm

Wales are to play Holland in a friendly international at the Amsterdam Arena on Wednesday June 4.

The Dutch will use the fixture as part of their final preparations for the World Cup - they open their Group B campaign in Brazil against Spain on June 13.

Wales last met Holland in a friendly in Rotterdam prior to Euro 2008, with the home side winning 2-0.

Wales boss Chris Coleman is delighted his squad will have the chance to take on a team of Holland's quality ahead of their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.

He said: "I could not ask for a better game for my squad at the end of the season.

"Everyone knows and respects the Dutch style of play and this will give us a great opportunity to measure ourselves against one of the top sides - not only in Europe - but the world."

Not really, if we have a proper Welsh captain then I will.

Of course not. Just an excuse to not support his Country while we're shit.

Really? I supported Wales and been to games since 2005, why would it be an excuse?

It doesn't matter if we are brilliant or poor, I will always turn up but after the farce that become an English captain it isn't the same for me and I wouldn't feel the same watching Wales.

To me it's embarrassing, I put a lot of money into watching Wales and the FAW have made us a joke.

I saved money to go Scotland away and had to sell my tickets for Scotland home.

Can take any dig from anyone, won't change my stance and I haven't been to a game since it's happened.

I hear the faw are having a crisis meeting as some prick who 'supported' wales all the way back to 2005 no longer attends in a protest because a jb is captain. Lets be honest if it was a Cardiff legend with the same qualifying credentials you wouldn't give a feck.

Why are people getting so worked up about it? If the guy doesn't want to go and watch Wales because of who captain then that's fair enough it's up to him it's got nothing to do with nobody else. People on here just have a go at others over the littlest of things it's pathetic!

I remember watching Vinnie Jones captain us & I loved it.
He even learnt the National anthem!

Why can't we get a big team at home for once. Playing the likes of Norway and Iceland isn't going to attract a crowd
