Odemwingie swap for Kenwyne Jones!

Stoke City are closing in on a shock move for Cardiff striker Peter Odemwingie.

Mark Hughes wants to bolster his forward line this weekend and has identified the Nigerian as a target.

The move could also see Kenwyne Jones go in the opposite direction as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seeks to add more firepower to their bid to avoid relegation from the Barclays Premier League.

Odemwingie, 32, joined Cardiff from West Brom back in September in a deal worth £2.25million, but he has managed just two goals in 15 appearances for the Bluebirds.

Jones, 29, is in his fourth season with Stoke and has a good return of five goals in 10 appearances this season.

The crime here is that Odemwingie is still going to get Premier League football. The guy doesn't deserve it. Horrible signing.

Seems strange to me. Jones still has a year or two in him an prob grab a goal or two for us whether or mot not he is an ole player who knows

To put it kindly, Odem hasn't fitted in to our system and at times he's looked lost. Maybe we can make more use of Kenwyne Jones, especially if we sign Zaha.

I don't disagree that it's a possibility that we may sign Kenwyne but I just don't think it will be a straight swap deal for Odem. That's what I'm referring to in

You are right there is no going back for him at Stoke but I'd even think they would be silly to consider a swap + fee for him due to how poor he has been for us thus far.
