A true pro staying behind to practice his free kicks, and he looked sharp in training :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

A true pro that thinks he is the manager, capatain, superfan, free kick taker, corner taker, midfield play maker, winger and striker all rolled into one.

one day he will become a manager for real and be truly awful. :laughing5:

You do realise that story may not be true, the same as the one where Malky is attributed with saying that he wouldn't ever play Bellamy again?

The other question that hasn't been answered either, is that if Bellamy refused to play for Malky, why did he reportedly turn down the chance to take over as manager, which would obviously brought forward the end of Malky's reign, when he was asked to replace him, even if it had been temporarily?

True pro? Don't think so, no true pro refuses to play because of a managers decision

Of course. Hence why I asked the question.

Although I have no reason to not believe it though, he's hardly been the model professional up to this point in his career has he. Generally been a nuisance wherever he has been.

You posted the story as a fact and previous misdemeanours don't make this one true!

I would still prefer 11 players on the pitch like this than 1 lazy/ just there for the pay waster.

Dealing with facts and facts only (just like Castro) Bellamy is paid for what he does.
Therefore a true proffesional.

You changed the context of the thread, as I only stated about him staying behind when the rest had left to practice his free kicks and that's a true pro with passion

 im keeping the thread on topic. You were making out he is a superb example of a professional (more than the rest of the side) - yet because I raised a question mark about that the thread was then turned into "he is paid so hes a pro"

Yes he practiced some free kicks, but hes hardly a model of professionalism lets be fair. This guy attacked a team mate with golf clubs, rumoured* to have refused to travel back with the team and decided to not play for you again after not bing picked on the bench, sent abusive text messages to players and made fallouts with previous managers public.

Pull the other one.

It's the sort of bollux you spout.
Fact is, he is a professional.
He just so happens to go the extra mile. :D

Why do people keep harping on about "hearsay" and take every word posted on forums as truth. Malky even stated on City Iplayer that this was not true, I cant remember the reasons for him not being on subs bench but Im sure it'll still be on the iplayer archives to clarify it.

BTW, love the Castro name and pic "Capitalism is using its money; we socialists throw it away". One of my favourite Fidel quotes, simple but apt.

I dont think this thread has ever been about whether he is in paid work or not as you well know.

Its about being an example of a "good" pro. Which of course, he is not.

Call it bollocks as much as you like but it doesn't change that it is probably the opinion that would be shared by the majority of the footballing world. :laughing6:

Likewise I cant believe how people take what managers and players say as gospel when they clearly would say such things. Didnt Malky say his relationship with Tan was good too?

I mean, what do you expect these people to say

Agreed on the quote.

Point out where I called him superb I called him a trip pro after what I saw after all the other players had gone back over to the stadium, where is the proof the he wouldn't play for Malky, maybe you need to pull the other one

I couldn't care less what the footballing world thinks of Craig Bellamy, whenever he sets foot on that pitch for us, he's given nothing short of 100%.
