' Where was the Party & Passion? "

Sun Jan 19, 2014 10:37 am

We took nearly 3,000 fans to Manchester City yesterday, 10 times what we use to take to most matches years ago :ayatollah:

We all went to Manchester City yesterday expecting City to get a hammering, but to me, we never got hammered in fact City gave a good account of themselves and fought every inch of the way and we even scored two goals.

Ole's team gave a battling battling/passionate performance in my eyes :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Surely us fans should of gone up there and had a party and cheered and sung for 90 minutes? We hardly sung and hardly madfe a noise :o

Some of you are prob not bothered about this and prob dont care by what I am posting, but to me this is what it is all about.
Ive seen us lose 7-1 at Luton and 6-1 at Port Vale, but our fans kept singing and signing.

Lets all have a disco :ayatollah:

We waited 51yrs for this lets enjoy. :ayatollah:

IF YOU ALL WANT TO STAY UP, THEN THE FANS HAVE TO DO THEIR PART AND BE THE 12TH MAN, WERE IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE, WHERES OUR PASSION, LETS ENJOY AND HAVE A PARTY :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Not many real fans left though Annis. Same with us.

I remember overtaking the likes of Hereford, Chester and Cheltenham and were immensely loud, and the football was dire.

These days we play lovely football, play at the highest level yet hardly make a sound. And it only gets worse. We were very loud first season then gradually got worse amd im told now its terrible.

The modern fan I think. We need safe standing brought in.

I agree with you, but on a Man City site, most of the posts are praising how loud and passionate our support was !

It is hard to be heard in Australia watching the telly, you REAL fan.

Seen loads on twitter saying our fans were loud

Maybe their standards are a lot lower than ours.

I was there and I felt we were very quite, tried getting the singing going.

Spot on Annis, i can remember 1500 of us up at Crewe in the 90s when we had all ready been relagated singing and enjoying ourselves for the whole 90 mins :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Met many. Some of my mates are cardiff fans, was based there for many years and still own a business there - hence the Roathmagic

Good set of supporters, the ones I know. Still, of your 25,000 home fans, how many would stay up every week to watch you at 3am every weekend and 5am on weekdays? Not even 10% id hazard a guess.

Re: ' Where was the Party & Passion? "

Sun Jan 19, 2014 10:56 am

You are quite preposterous, how can you guess with any accuracy! What percentage of our fan base do you actually know?
Once again you are claiming knowledge of something you don't possess. I tell you what, just make up facts as you did with regard to your knowledge of chemistry and percentages and the identities of different posters.

So you are on the thread ruining warpath again then I see

I dont claim to know anything. It was a guess, and one im perfectly happy with. If you didnt sell out away to man city then I cant see too many more staying up every week without fail, weekdays and weekends regardless of work schedule. Still seeing at least a match every year even though that one match alone costs more than it would to buy a home and away season ticket

Now shall we agree to disagree before you end up getting banned and ruining another thread? You may PM me if you wish to talk about me however im sure Annis will appreciate it if for once you can try and talk about the subject and not your idol Roathie

You obviously don't live in Queensland then. It's 1am kickoff here one weekends.

Im currently in Melbourne so will be 2am for 3pm kick offs. However we rarely kick off at 3pm. Very often its 4pm on Sundays which is 3am Monday morning. Weekday European ones are the worst.

But lets get this back on topic please.

annis it was awful, v poor support.

but it's everyones responsibility to get people singing and start off songs. How many did you start as an individual yesterday? i didn't start any, not 1, i joined in a few times but it was pitiful really. we all need to try harder imo. sorry players my individual performance was crap.

I remember Crewe away a few years ago when we drew 2-2 first game of the season.Atmosphere was incredible.

Re: ' Where was the Party & Passion? "

Annis is because it's not 3,000 lads anymore. 600 lads would make the noise of 3,000 generic fans now because it was not about the football at all back then, most barely watched the game.

Re: ' Where was the Party & Passion? "

Sun Jan 19, 2014 11:19 am

Annis,
I was on level 2 and thought the same. I looked around and there were young boys and a few girls where I was sat and a load of old men. This wouldn't have happened many years ago in the lower leagues. No one was singing where I was. :(

The ground was also 2 tier and one tier will sing one song and the other tier will sing a different song.

I tried to my best to get about 7 songs going, but no one was really interested, 3 were sung quite well.

I said the same to Carl about the two tier, but then Chelsea away was 2 tier and we only took 1,300 yet we sung more.

Ha ha. Yeah, ok mate. Whatever.

We sounded good on the telly to be fair. Not as good as when we lost to Orient and they had Peter Shilton I goals though.

hey don't blame the women! i've been going for 20 yrs and always sing so ner!! yesterday was dire, it's almost as if we've reached the pinnacle and now can't arsed. serious point has all the off the pitch saga now affected the fans? are we suffering a kind of post traumatic depression!

whatever it is we all need to snap out of it fast and raise the levels.

I will be back in Brisbane in the very near future though, own a house in Beerwah.

As for the atmosphere in this game, i missed it. But many people have come here saying exactly what Annis has and I think its a problem in British football to be honest. Last match I went to I was shocked at how quiet we were. It was terrible.
