Lots of good films out at the moment. The Wolf of Wall Street, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, American Hustle, 12 Years a Slave, and The Railway Man.

Ye Wolf of Wallstreet is awesome. Also, saw The Deer Hunter for the first time last weekend. de Niro at his best. Absolute classic.

I enjoyed it too JB, if you wanna watch another great movie of a similiar theme, but with less glamour watch the Ewan Mcgregor film 'Rogue Trader' the full movie is on YouTube.

Rogue Trader: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MebaDb6 ... ata_player

Back to current films, I watched 47 Ronin yesterday (crap)

Di Caprio is a class actor. Not just a pretty face he can act too.

Along with Denzil Washington probably my favourie actor.

Plays the lead / starring role in some of my favourite films - Blood Diamond, Django, Catch Me If You Can, The Departed, Gangs of New York.etc, etc.

Lone survivor. True story about 4 marines in Afghanistan. Obviously overhyped but still a very good movie

gangs of new york probably one of my favorite ever films. More to do with Daniel Day Lewis than Di Caprio for me, but both excellent Actors.

Looking forward to seeing WOWS... I thought The Great Gatsby was totally gash, so Leo needs to redeem himself.

Same here Polo. Morgan Freeman is up there for me too. Also like the look of this Mark Wahlberg guy. He's been in some really good films since The Departed. Brad Pitt films are class too. I think he gets a lot of unneeded stick for some of his parts in films etc.

I agree diCaprio is class, and ye the films you have mentioned are epcic - Departed and Gangs especially. He's also awesome in Romeo+Juliet. (Sadly Gatsby was a complete fail on all accounts.) But if you want class acting, go back to de Niro and the other Greats.

Brad Pitt is the same to an extent, people always talking about his looks and his 5 million kids and not his acting, therefore his actual skill is downplayed (a similar thing happens, I would argue with, Beckham). Pitt in films like The Tree of Life or Fight Club is incredible - and these are awesome films. (not so much the case in World War X, Troy ...)

The scene with the flash car when he is on the drugs is excellent and one of the funniest scenes I've seen in ages.

12 years is gonna win more at the Oscars in my opinion but take nothing away from what Scorsese and Di Caprio have done in this movie.

Any of you Di Caprio fans seen The Basketball Diaries. Bloody love that movie. Can't wait to see The Wolf of Wall Street. Got a soft spot coming for Jonah Hill after seeing him take on a more serious role in Moneyball - another quality movie.

SL69's favourite film is 'Jaws' but he watches it in reverse. In it, a giant magic fish creates people while quickly swimming backwards.

Excellent film and Di Caprio shows again how good an actor he is. Unfortunatly, I don't think he will win an Oscar though. Got to be the best actor to never win one though

Film is too risky too win Oscars it looks like, even though its the best film that has been nominated.

Seen almost all the big 2013 films, think 12 Years a Slave is good but overrated. Dallas Buyers Club is also good but overrated. Inside Llewyn Davis is possibly my favourite, then Wolf of Wall Street, Gravity, Before Midnight and All is Lost. Her, American Hustle, Captain Phillips, Rush, Prisoners all very good.

Yeah I agree there has already been complaints about the amount of nudity and drugs in the film  But its been a great year for films
