Maybe hes was not god in the squads eyes like some fans seem to think. In my opinion he was nothing special as most half decent managers would of got us up on the huge budget he had last season to be fair and thats why ive not seen players speak of it
Old news now and we move on with some attacking football hopefully atleast we can say NOW if we go down we had a go at teams to try stay up

So you're happy to hear about Malky as long as its good stuff and it suits your views. Well some like myself, Polo, Bluebird1977 and Craig are more realistic and understand Malky had many flaws. I quite frankly only care 100% about the club. The manager is a dispensable employee and one getting paid rather handsomely. Save us the Twilight love in rubbish and understand its only the club that matters. Managers come and go but when your club dies, well, thats all she wrote.

JB39. wrote:It was quite obvious he lost the dressing room and i know for a fact one player he definitely fell out with but I think most of you are clever enough to work out who yourselves. Now lets move on to others and why they were probably annoyed with him
1) Hudson - captain of our team last year and top 3 player - proved in the Carling Cup final he could hack it against quality as he bailed us out numerous times - yet he got injured then got shafted by Malky at Premier League level - absolute disgrace - to all the people saying Hudson isn't good enough, you also said Noone wasn't earlier on in the PL season yet he is easily good enough for this level
2) Brayford - clearly fell out with this player - goes from one of England's brightest talents to mr invisible like its nothing - no explanation why and no injury mentioned - fans then come to the conclusion he's not good enough which is total rubbish because he is good enough and many experts of whom are more experienced than Malky tipped him for big things - we weren't the only club after him remember - they clearly fell out
3) Whittingham - ruined by Malky and thats being subtle about it - Whittingham went from an attacking dynamic player who had numerous goals in him with a true clinical edge from set pieces as well to an oppressed player out of position sitting deeper in midfield - soon enough he became a shadow of his former self and I'm afraid to say that now, thanks to Malky's inept tactics that we may never see the true Whittingham again as he seems to have lost his bite - i remember when Whittingham could bang them in from nowhere and he had more confidence about his attacking game whereas now, due to playing so deep and not consistently attacking his confidence is absolutely shot and he'd rather just pass it off.
4) Noone - rarely started early on and people actually believed Malky enough to even come out with their own tripe 'he's not good enough for the Premier League' when it was quite obvious given his flair, quick change of direction and pace that he was always going to be good enough. In fact Noone, given those attributes should have been ONE OF THE FIRST NAMES ON THE SHEET as we were crying out for this type of player to hurt teams on the counter attack yet instead he's on the bench and Cowie is on who lets be fair, whilst works his socks off and I respect the bloke for that, does not possess the cutting edge to truly hurt top teams in this division - Noone does because of his directness.
5) Confidence - the number of players with heads down during the games was obvious and none more so than that of Mr Smiles, Frazier Campbell. This player has always been smiling under us yet you could see even he lost belief in Malky's tactics. He wasn't being fed the ball enough and Malky's tactics made him a passenger in games. Other players were not allowed to take risks and had to abide by a strict and disciplined formation. That meant the likes of Kim rarely could go on direct runs of tricky footwork because they would get an absolute rant at them if out of position. Some players just looked disillusioned at the anti football and it was obvious to see. Some fans were annoyed and depressed by it including the OP in this thread and so were the players. You've not got to be an expert in body language to see how it annoyed them.
6) Penalties - WHAT PENALTIES? We never won a penalty because we very rarely got in the oppositions box. If you don't get in the box enough with an intent to score and hurt the opposition then you don't get brought down and simple enough we did not get a penalty. There was one incident we may have had one but we should have also had one given against us for Medel's challenge earlier on in the season. Simple theory that proves just how negative the tactics were under Malky. You don't attack and go forward and get in the other teams box then you don't win penalties. Palace only came up from the Championship last season because of penalties. Zaha going down all the time and Murray smashing them in. Ok, it was Championship level but the teams doing well in this league are normally the ones who get penalties. A penalty can be the difference between a draw and a win and they're very important yet we've given Whittingham nothing to smash home from the spot.
Thats the truth. By the end of his time here the only people who believed in Malky were the majority of the fans. I don't even think Kerslake was 100% behind Malky either or believed in his ways because if he did then why did he try changing it and why did he bring Kev back into the frame? Somebody deemed not good enough by Malky. Says it all and the writing was on the wall.
Bring on the new Cardiff under Ole. If we go down at least we're going to go down with a fight instead of cowering in the corner crying.

"From the interviews I saw conducted, they never called him Malky in them, just 'the old manager' I feel he fell out with a few players before his reign was over, a few big names who aren't afraid to speak their mind and some of the lesser players. It was shown when we played Sunderland that they were allowed to show that creative freedom and we dominated for 75 mins of the match, the shackles were off."
Sunderland were a poor team and should have been well and truly beaten. The subsequent draw was most disappointing. Just imagine if we played, as you described, "with the shackles off," against Man C, Man U. Tottenham, Everton and Arsenal and you'd be looking at 6-0 defeats in each game. Give Malky some credit: we collected 17 pts after a very demanding start. Your approach would have resulted in half a dozen at best.

Hard to disagree with that, apart from maybe Brayford being "one of England's brightest talents", thats a bit far fetched.
Although it wasnt too long ago you were called "Malkyisgod"So yet another U turn from you
I think only myself and 77 can truly lay claim to sussing Malky''s limitation out from a very early stage. We got shot down but eventually people come around to what we were saying.
