Cardiff City v West Ham United

Updated Daily

' CARDIFF CITY '

After a dream FA Cup win at Newcastle in his first match in charge, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now gets down to the real business of the Premier League.

Solskjaer has a near full strength squad to pick from.

Bellamy has declared himself fit and ready to start and will be on the bench.

Relegation rivals West Ham are the visitors on Saturday for a crunch match that could have a major impact on the hopes of both teams.

' WEST HAM '

Andy Carroll to the rescue: Comeback striker lifts West Ham

ANDY CARROLL will make his long-awaited return for West Ham at Cardiff tomorrow as Sam Allardyce plays his final card in a bid to turn around the club’s season.

Allardyce vows to use West Ham 'anger'
West Ham manager Sam Allardyce wants his players to use criticism as motivation to halt their recent decline.

The injury-hit Hammers will be arriving in Cardiff after a disastrous run of games including a 6 nil hammering by Man City and a 5 nil hammering by Nottingham Forest. Also the West Ham manager will know time is now running out, could this be his last game?

West Ham have only sold half their away allocation.

With West Ham's current form, good old overconfidence is what the players need to beware of here. Teams in West Ham's position, especially with a humiliating loss in recent time, tend to smell blood if they are given an inch. If they get the first goal it will be very difficult to beat them I fear. But if Cardiff gets the first goal then the victory will most likely be massive.

It should be an easy win, as long as the players fielded are aware of the mental overconfidence challenge.

If they get a red in the league cup, does it carry through to our game?.

For god's sake.

If we can't beat sides as awful as West ham at home with a new manager bounce then we might as well take relegation now.

Every game is tough, have a feeling the Wolff will score and gonna put money on it.

Ever since Nobby mentioned the Caulker and Swansea game I will never forget to put a bet down.

This will be a very tough match IMO, wouldn't surprise me if west ham were holding a lot back in the 2 cup games, because they are looking at our game as priority, a must win! I'd bite your hand off for a scrapy 1-0 home win

I keep trying to say it will be a nail biter but the I can't help think we will win comfortably.

This will be very tight imo. Even more of a "must win" for wet spam than for us. Don't see us losing it though.

1-0 city

I actually think its more of a must win game for us than them
west ham would take a draw now and i suspect thats how alladyce will set them up
hopefully we do not go in gun ho thinking we will beat them easily as we could get cqught on the break and then it will be tough

play the game right give them respect and we will win

I think you are right but for once the pressure is really on them. This is (almost?) the last chance saloon for Allardyce but I reckon he would take a point straight away.
The've been critisised all day for not tackling(talk sport) and having no bottle so expect lots of heavy stuff to break up our midfield play.My guess is he'll play his biggest most physical players and also through morrison/jarvis/the other bloke try and get at us down the wings/on the break.
Key points in my opinion:
1. who gets the first goal
2. how lee mason performs

This is not going to be easy and I hope our crowd for once realise this and get behind the team first to last.
