' Announcements of new players '

The media have just been told they might not announce the signings of the new players today.

There were 4 potential new players staying at the Vale and the Norwegian media have been told there could be a couple of days delay in announcing them.




All the Media were also waiting today for the Announcements, then at 10am this morning City cancelled it till further notice.

Numerous posts yesterday said the medicals are complete and the 2 players trained with the others yesterday????

As I posted earlier though, perhaps the club is waiting on international clearance, or maybe work permits!

I also can't see where it says that the other 2 potential signings are Norwegian either, except in your post!

it doesn't say another 2 Norwegian players are signing, it just says 2 more players (no nationality stated)

International clearance is required for any player switching national associations. Work permits are required for players from outside the European Economic Area. Therefore, Norwegian players only need International clearance.

Norwegians do not need work permits ( http://www.workpermit.com/uk/work_permit/who_needs.htm ) but I think they still need international clearance from the football authorities but as to the nationality of the others well only time will tell. It could also be that other aspects of the deal are still being negotiated. On the plus side it is nice to be discussing positive things rather than the circus we became in December
