I want to win the league.

However - some things just aren't realistically possible. Best of luck to the young fella though. :D

3 points plus about 15 goal difference - so 4 points realistically to top us.

This isnt the championship now, points are hard to come by -for example - It currently takes you on average nearly 5 games to get 4 points... And of course in those 5 games we must lose every single one.

Like I said - best of luck to him :D

How long does it take you to currently earn 4 points?

3.7 games roughly.

I love it when he quotes statistics! He sounds so desperate!
Solskjaer may have them worried already!
Positive man, positive attitude, positive effect on our levels of performance and points total.
Onwards and upwards!

cant fault the positivity but would be happy just to stay up right about now.

Is the correct answer - however sense isn't often allowed on this forum so watch out :D

What facts? The ones you chose to relate too! How many points you collected in the last 6 games? Or do we have to chose all your games irrelevant of current form!
Perhaps we should go back to last season, as that was the true indicator of your performance!
Couldn't make it up
Your Spanish defenders didn't look too keen to defend for their lives yesterday! Angel and Chico already waving the white flag! Such an appropriate colour.

the facts regarding how many points we pick up per game - keep up son. the league so far shows a perfect spectrum of teams played. Why choose the last 6 as it doesnt show a fair representation of the average quality we will face. We will not play Man City, Chelsea, Everton every 6 game block.

Or do we have to chose all your games irrelevant of current form!

we decide the points tally on what we HAVE achieved not what we may.

Perhaps we should go back to last season, as that was the true indicator of your performance!

it was a different league with different personnel - new username but same silly arguments it seems.

Couldn't make it up

you do - often.

I don't even know what this means or what it has to do with the thread. Christ you are odd

 gutted.

You could have won 5-0 and it wouldnt have made much difference. We would still be the same amount of points ahead and superior GD.

Hence why I maintained from the start of the seasom that league position was far more important than one off games. Ill take another derby defeat right now please if it guaranteed a mid table finish to match last years one

So basicly, you cannot say you're on course for a midtable finish then.(like you have been predicting)

a win against West Ham is vital imo, will give us a little bit of breathing space going into a tough section of fixtures.

Lets worry about finishing above the jacks in April when we are already safe!

Im not a psychic, never claimed to be.

However the most accurate guess is based on relative data, the more data, the more likely the positive accuracy of the prediction.

So far we have played 20 - which covers every team and style the league has to offer. This is a far better tool than hand picking 6 games which dont even cover a third of the teams we will face

You have to be amazed by Castro's creative use of mathematics.
Note that it takes us nearly 5 games to achieve 4 points but it takes Swansea 3.7 games
In fact if you calculate it it takes us on average this season, over the whole season, 4.4 games to achieve 4 points! It takes Swansea Town 3.8 games.
The school I went to, admittedly along time ago, never suggested that a decimal equivalent to less than half should ever be rounded up to 5.
Then again Castro insists 13 is less than 10.

nothing creative just facts Martyn.

Note that it takes us nearly 5 games to achieve 4 points but it takes Swansea 3.7 games

indeed. Or nearly 4 if you want to match the terms, however you asked me specifically so thought you wanted a specific answer. However not sure if you have noticed but nearly 4 is less than nearly 5 anyway

In fact if you calculate it it takes us on average this season, over the whole season, 4.4 games to achieve 4 points! It takes Swansea Town 3.8 games.

so we gain points at a faster rate clever clogs

The school I went to, admittedly along time ago, never suggested that a decimal equivalent to less than half should ever be rounded up to 5.

of course it should be. You dont get awarded points 0.4 the way through a match. Even if it was 4.0001 games - it woukd still take 5 to achieve them. It seems school certainly is a distant memory

Then again Castro insists 13 is less tan 10.

dont think i ever have Martyn. Not like you to make things up

Indeed.

We HAVE achieved 21 points in 20 games, any prediction can be made from that based on relative data. You can not predict how we will do against Man United for example by looking at our last 6 games and seeing how we did against Everton. That is speculative based on no relative data.

Creativity suggests you distorted the mathematically correct answers to prove a point that they did not truly indicate!

I think you may need to change the battery. You cant seem to decide between 3.7 and 3.8 :D

I didn't distort it though did I. I said "nearly 4" which it is.

Not forgetting of course that both my way of stating it and your way - indicate exactly the same thing... That im correct

You said nearly 5, incorrect!
You said 3.7 not me, I said categorically 3.8
Time will tell!
Hint you should watch your defenders body language carefully, irrelevant I know but so satisfying to us capital city fans.

nearly 5 is correct. As ive explained to you Martyn, you dont get awarded points after 0.4 of a match. In order to get the sufficient points it would be 5 games :thumbright:

You said 3.7 not me, I said categorically 3.8

i said "3.7 roughly" did I not? I didnt think anyone would be insane enough to cry over 0.1 of a quick tally which changes nothing to the point in hand

Time will tell!

says the man who supports a club that has conceded 32 goals so far :D
