The Cardiff owner is confident he can land the former Manchester United striker and will back him financially in the January transfer window

City Gent - how accurate is this? I know you're normally in the know on these things. What about this Malaysian guy who manages at Bayern youth team?
Fri Dec 27, 2013 11:26 pm
So is this true then? Never know what to believe in papers etc etc

I'm just as in the dark as everyone else who our number one target is, but no matter what has been said in the press and online I know we've been sounding out candidates for months.
The four Sky spoke of i mentioned last week were Solskjaer, Di Matteo, Pulis and Darren Ferguson. There's probably more but 100% on those four

I would love it to be Solskjaer and Phelan, if its the Turk then that would be the final straw for me.
Fri Dec 27, 2013 11:43 pm
Solskjaer is a top manager. Destined for good things. Get him and you will be ok.
Vural or Sven and you could be in a whole world of trouble down the line.
Fri Dec 27, 2013 11:45 pm
Darren ferguson?
Fri Dec 27, 2013 11:46 pm
Darren ferguson! Yr spelling is awful! Don't u mean Alex ferguson. Ha
After all the shite which we've witnessed over the passed few wks. It's beyond me how we'll b able to attract these big names.
Then again, massive wages and a a huge transfer kitty may help!!
Fri Dec 27, 2013 11:46 pm
In that article it says we've also sounded out marcelo biesla. Pep Guardiola reckons he's the best manager in the world so that's good enough for me!

Big shouts for him to take over here after Jones was sacked by many prominent fans here

I hope we don't go down the QPR route like they did last year - now everyone knows we have money - the prices for players will get massively inflated - better off buying abroad in spain, brazil or Portugal, even some eastern block countries.

"Solskjaer is a top manager" - based on what? Having managed one team in Norway? Or is ha "another one for the future" like Cornelius? At best, he's a big risk with his lack of experience at this level.
Mon Dec 30, 2013 3:37 pm
Castro has tracked Solskjaer's career from Australia. He admits to having never watched Molde play and was a little less than accurate about Solskjaer's achievements.
However, he obviously has top footballing credentials because he is a jack fan. The bitter sweet irony!
Mon Dec 30, 2013 3:55 pm
I quote our friend Castro/Roathie
" However, if you get Solskjaer then you have a cracking manager on your hands one of which I will be slightly envious of and a manager I have been tracking for some time with a hope he could succeed Laudrup. He has had success wherever he has been and seems a sensible chap and will have a decent contact or two at United. "
What a Richard Cranium!

You do realise you're talking to a Jack there?

I just found it funny you going on about Cornelius, when it has nothing to do with him...

plus, Swansea can hardly go on about wasting money... They bought bony after all.

It was't meant as a dig about wasting money. Cornelius' inexperience parallels Solskjaers at this level was all I was saying. I'm sure you'd agree that OGS has no experience of top level management and therefore must be a risk

This is surreal! The sweet irony of two jack fans disagreeing with each other over a prospective manager of Cardiff City.
The absolute proof that our every action is so much more important than their provincial little club.

Cardiff City holds absolutely no importance for me, though I do love this forum. Infighting over colour of kit, lunatic despotic owner, delusions of grandeur, etc etc. if this was a television programme you'd laugh it off as being too unbelievable.
Oh, why oh why do I have to support a PL top 10, trophy-winning, flamboyant, locally-owned, supporter owned, perfect model football club instead of your car crash?

Must be past your bed time by now, Chuckles, or does Mummy let you stay up later in the holidays?

If you had absolutely no interest in Cardiff City, you wouldn't have typed in this URL once, never mind the amount of time you actually do!
Mon Dec 30, 2013 5:40 pm
Numeracy not so strong in Swansea! Since when is a number above 10 indicative of a top ten premier league club.

As you are so fond of saying - read my post. I've already explained why

Ah, but if you weren't interested in CCFC at all, you wouldn't have typed in the URL the first time to see all these things that supposedly bring you here... Despite not being interested...

Chuckles, you really are a numpty! Where did I say that I wan't interested in Cardiff City. Of course I'm interested in that madhouse that pretends to be a PL club. If you bothered to take your own advice and actually read posts before you jump in to respond, you would see that I actually said that cardiff are not important to me. Dear me...........
