Why VT Will NEVER Change The Club Back To Blue.

First of all I must stress that while I did not object to the colour and emblem changes initially as I thought that with the choice of going bust or possible English Premier Football, I like many other fans opted for the latter. However, with the recent treatment of Malky Mackay for me a line has been drawn in the sand. I will still support CCFC, but I no longer support what Vincent Tan has done to our club. Now that my position is clear I will endeavour to explain why VT will NEVER change the shirt colour back to blue or the badge back to the Bluebirds. The background to VT's business empire is essential to understand why the club's colours and emblem were changed and it is nothing to do with being lucky.

VT and his family's business empire, the Berjaya Group of Companies includes businesses in Consumer Marketing; Property Investment and Development; Hotels, Resorts and Recreation; Gaming and Lottery Management; Financial Services; Food and Beverages; Automotive Distribution; Environmental Services and Clean Technology; and also Education. Obviously with such a large and diverse business portfolio Berjaya must spend a lot on advertising, so that links to events or sports with large worldwide audiences would be of interest. Enter the English Premier League, EPL, which is broadcast in 212 territories by 80 different broadcasters to 643 million homes. Prior to any thought of investment into the EPL Berjaya were building the biggest shopping mall in the world, with the first phase scheduled for completion in October 2013.

The mall is 38km from Beijing with a catchment area of over 100m people. Inside the mall it is so big that 3 rollercoaster/waterslide rides are to be built, with one in the shape of a BIG RED DRAGON, as red is a lucky colour and a dragon is a popular symbol in Asia. Hence, the idea of buying an EPL football team with a red shirt and a dragon emblem which could be used to advertise the mall and vice-versa. However, no such team existed in the EPL, Wrexham FC had the right colour and emblem, but were to far away from the EPL. A club with the potential to get to the EPL, which could change it's colours and emblem was required. Cardiff City FC were a club which fitted the bill having been knocking on the door of the EPL for a few years; were Welsh where there is a red dragon on the National Flag; and had the biggest catchment area for fans in the UK. Hence, VT bought CCFC changed the shirt colour to red, the emblem to a red dragon with a smaller bluebird and financed promotion to the EPL. Therefore, as VT's sole intentions of buying into Football were for a club to play in red with a red dragon emblem in the EPL and not for buying CCFC, there is no chance of the colour or badge being changed back to the original. Incidentely, on a lighter note, as bluebird means penis in SE Asian slang, then it's just as well our kit manufacturer isn't Head.

We've known all along it is marketing for the China market.
Some people are hung up on Tan's "lucky" comments which are a sideshow but the businessman in Tan saw the China opportunity.

It's always be for the Chinese market, no news there. The only surprise is that we don't play in gold colour shorts as well. The Chinese like that colour too.

Exactly, I won't stop watching just because of one c**t.

I feel like he's stolen our club - and we won't be getting back for a long time because he's in it so deep. The man has no respect for the club or supporters but, if I'm honest, we've got what we deserved.

In the short term I agree and the post is only a part of what I initially had written, with more to come when I have an hour or two free. In the long term, when VT has finished with the mall or maybe passed total control to others, as he's no spring chicken, then others will eventually own the club.

I hope your right. However, I don't think it's going to be for a while as VT's in too deep and will want to promote his shopping mall which isn't even completed yet. The only plus is that to achieve his goals VT must keep CCFC in the EPL at all costs.

What sucks me off is our away kit, at the very least it should be blue. Its one big tango slap in the face

IVE never supported the red shit and if thats the case as with the shopping mall ect then we really are in the shit.

What i will say is Tan will never change us back we all no that weve passed trying to make him listen .

Tan out is my message at what ever the cost to ccfc as i believe the identity of any club is more important than succses at any cost.

From day 1 i have been strongly against Tan and his rebrand and am still angry about it all.

Tan has made us a laughing stock all over the world and he can go fxxx himself.

The only way we get the blue back is if VT goes.

The main problem is most of our fans let him do it as he financaly blackmailed those fans but to be fair all those fans should of stood up for ccfc at the right time which never happened.

It is now good that the fans have seen sense as the stadium has at last turned back to blue and long may it continue.

Tan is going to f**k this club up before he goes, which wont be before he has made a small profit somehow. He has no respect for fans at all.

OK here's one. What a load of bollocks. A shirt logo on a team in the lower reaches of the EPL is hardly going to promote a shopping mall in China to the tune of £100 m. He bought us to sell us. Any new owner (except Ho Chi F'ing Ming) wanting a quick win is likely to change us back to blue. So blue will happen again once Tan (Welsh for fire) has been put out.

It's 100m people not £100m and even if we're in the lower reaches of the EPL it doesn't matter. If you hadn't noticed we've dominated the media with different stories over the short time we've been in the EPL (especially during the international breaks - work it out?) and that's on top of the television coverage to 643m households every week. He won't sell the club, just part of the club, while retaining the controlling share. Look at his business empire, he does not get involved with anything for a quick buck. He is not interested in the money, just the Kudos of being successful, as he is one of only a handful of billionaires to give more than half of their wealth away to charity.

Can't say sorry. There's no point knowing anyway because even even when you warn them on here like rebrands etc forthcoming they just slag you off and throw it in your face until it's too late as proven , hark at them now !!!
