Banners,flags and scarfs

Fri Dec 27, 2013 3:48 pm

I think this would look very effective in-front of the sky cameras if we all upped the anti with these features for tomorrows game. It sends out a clear message especially with banners but are they allowed in? I noticed there wasn't as many banners inside the stadium as there was outside for the protest. Yes, Malky is gone and we can't change that now but one thing we can fight for is the return of our identity. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

The stewards were stopping people taking in any Protest signs on Thursday. So get them up your Christmas Jumpers!

I would personally prefer if after yesterday's debacle the fans focussed on getting behind the team as we do need the 3 points.
Unfortunately that doesn't seem to matter to a some people.

i agree we need to get behind the team however we are in-front of the sky cameras and i think we should take advantage of this.

I think everyone needs to consider taking a huge intake of breath and actually look at this situation. Like everyone else, I think the way in which Tan treated Malky is disgusting and I dont condone this is anyway. With the Sacking however, could it actually be the correct decision and if Ole does come in, could quite easily move us forward as a club. I worshipped Malky and will always remember what he has done for our club, but I think if he was honest with himself, his relationship with us has run its course and looked very out of depth the last few games. Southampton were in uproar because they sacked Adkins, (similar situation to us), but they have moved on. I think we will too.

A further protest will just aggrevate a situation that has given enough unwanted media attention to date and Malkys sacking is simply a platform to voice our disgruntlement at the colour change. We have to move on as a club as Tan wont change the colours. Businessmen like Tan will not be driven out. He will leave when it suits him, not because 6% of the stadium capacity are waving and jeering anti Tan flags. Lets just back the new man and ensure we focus all energy on supporting the players and staying in this division.

You do come over as someone who thinks premiership at all cost.

To me now premier survival will just be a bonus. I wonmt lose any sleep if we go down.

Now getting back to what we are and how the rest of the football world wants us.....lets use this time.

It isnt just about premiership, we are a laughing stock - but yes, it is a major factor. We want a new manager to come in without all this circus. Everyone has been pissed off about the colours since last year. The Malky situation has prompted the protests. If it isnt then where were the protests last year ? last month ? (im not reffering to BU attempts)

Re: Banners,flags and scarfs

Two different attitudes and thought process' can be looked at this whole identity return. The first set of fans are those who wait for opportunities to come to them so they can 'take them' and they wait endlessly for some moorage or oasis to magically happen so the colour will just return and it never does return all because they weren't willing to risk it.
The second set of fans are those who find a way to create opportunity for the good of the club and make their own luck so to speak. They seek the club that they want and intended.
The difference between these to fans come down to the concept of fear. We are our own driving engine and our own break. It's about not being satisfied with what has happened and not being afraid to go out and do the dam thing.Lets not stop here lets continue to fight for our colour.BLUE. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

So you don't think we need three points tomorrow and the fans shouldn't focus on getting behind the team?

Nice attempt with your physcology lesson but fear has nothing to do with it all.

Im not scared to stand and wave a flag, I would rather focus all energy on supporting the team and causing less aggrevation for the new fella who is brave enough to take on this job. That is your fear factor, and by adding to the circus isnt seizing opportunity, you could have creating your own opportunity at any given point over the last 18 months. Im saying Tan is fully aware we want our colours back, but sometimes you have to bide your time..

I
'm not saying don't back the new manager and i'm not saying don't back the team. All i have said is for this one game tomorrow infront of the sky cameras, we full the stadium with as many banners, flags and scarfs. Secondly i don't think you're the only one to not be afraid of waving a scarf, what i'm trying to say is too many fans have just accepted Tan and the brickwalls he constantly exposes us to. We won't get to were we want without brickwalls and stumbles along the way i.e Malkys sacking and the colour change. These brick walls exist for one reason only to signify how bad you want something. No business or endeavour was magically produced over night. For one game only. Then back the team and manager. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Watch out, you cant mention the word riot any more. I have just had a board warning telling me I was inciting a riot for posting the same question. The fact that riot is a tongue in cheek comment that has been sung by thousands of our fans has been missed by our forum moderators or Chris (Sven Ghali) in my case. Over to you again Chris.........

Not arguing, asking questions. And stop being a psued behind Wikipedia or notes from whatever ology you may be studying.
Did the song do any good? No.
Did it help the atmosphere get the fans behind the team? -In my opinion no and it was a negative starting at villa.
Will what you are promoting have the same negatives. -In my opinion , yes probably.
Will it give the media another chance to have a pop at CCFC - yes definately.

I'm not arguing for Malky im arguing for the identity for the second time.
However i do agree that some songs that were song to often did create a negative atmosphere.
What i'm promoting can be looked at in two ways as mentioned and i accept your view.
It will give the media the chance to have a pop at us but without negative implications. The rebrand has happened and isn't new news. They would have a pop at Tan if anything.
