Won a few headers and linked up well, proved he has a turn of pace and can up up ground well when harrassing the opposition.

Looks a lot better than PO. Maybe this could be a turning point with him. I hope so

I agree, looks when heck of a player already. But Malky reckons he's one for the future and for me I can't fathom why we spent £8m on a striker for our first season in the BPL who isn't ready!

Personally I think he's a better option that what we currently already play up front.

Didn't do nothing wrong and was keen to get involved and a grab a 2nd goal which would get us in a small chance of getting back into with a draw.

I think your spot on, the trouble is that Tan understands f...all about football and as he's not talking to Malky so he wouldn't have a clue. It's probably down to Tan's ignorance of football that little comments like that have turned him off Malky.

Odemwingie was gash yesterday, while Cornelius looked hungry and desperate to be involved. Would like to see Malky start him against Southampton and Sunderland. Especially, with Campbell as they opened up Liverpool's defence well a few times when on the pitch together.

I'm not sure I agree with you totally on this one. In my opinion this kid is more than we need already; I think he's gonna be a big big player for us this season and likely, many more. However I think this is not a case of letting Malky manage; on the contrary, I think this is a case for Malky listening to the fans, some of whom have been spot on on this: ''Malky, get up to speed and put your faith in the boy, he's good and he'll do the business for us - play him from the start, disabuse yourself of this Odemwingie nonsense, back the boy and he'll deliver the goods'' At the same time stop putting your faith in has beens like Whittingham etc and start using the talent we already have at our disposal i.e. Kim and Campbell more creatively and effectively!

My own opinion for what its worth? If Corny was indeed a Malky/Moody signing, then Malky started to doubt his initial Judgement and started to doubt the player's ability for some reason. Rather than trying to protect the boy he inadvisedly tried to protect himself by playing the ''one for the future card'': this might have been the tipping point for Tan during a fractured relationship between the two and caused the horrendous riposte of this last week.

Don't read any anti Malky into this; far from it. I'm essentially anti Tan; he is the villain of the piece. I want Malky to stay and for many years to come. He has fantastic man management ability, his leadership is akin to General Patton, he is dignified, professional and from what I can see a thoroughbly likeable man who doesn't deserve the awful treatment he's receiving from a crackpot dictator. I truly believe, one day, he will become one of the giants of the game in the mould of Fergie and the like. However, for now his obvious weak departments are tactics, team selection and player assessment, coupled with maybe a little naivety in terms of press releases. Nevertheless, he's still young and much of this can be learned and I think he could really benefit now from the guidance of someone in the capacity of Director of Football who could teach him something about his weaker areas. I think he'll come through with flying colours!

I truly hope Malky stays but for the next two home games a bit of advice to him. ''Malky, Kick on with what you've learned from the Liverpool game: ditch the dross, give the fans what they want, and play young Corny for TWO FULL GAMES. He might well vindicate your initial judgment and become a revelation!

A lot of people last week on here were thinking whether he was going to be a flop, I always gave him my backing and yeah, START HIM BOXING DAY PLEASE!

Thought he looked OK, not really seem him do much in the box yet but he has had limited time.

I would start Cornelius on boxing day with campbell along side him, noone out on the wing providing the crosses and mutch, medel and kim bo making up the midfield along with our usual back four.

I agree with the calls to start him on Boxing Day. I'd have gone with yesterday's lineup, but with Campbell up front and Cornelius playing just in front of Mutch/behind Campbell.

Got to agree Matt D,Campbell and Cornelius upfront, Mutch, Whitts, Noone and Medel in Midfield.
Lets attack from the off and not just wait for the counter. Can't see two upfront being picked though

Who would you have for DoF.

Watching the game on TV, I thought he did pretty well considering the amount of time he was on the pitch. Certainly made a bigger impact than in any other previous game.

Would love to see him get more game time.
