Its not us who needs to hold his nerve it Malky. Two chances yesterday and he bemoans the finishing. If Suerez was up front we may only have got a draw.
Have a go man !

I'll only back him if this performance becomes a catalyst for a change in approach. He's an astute manager so he must realise this.We just need to have a right go at teams from open play!
Sun Dec 08, 2013 12:18 pm
if malky starts going for wins then ill back him
Sun Dec 08, 2013 12:30 pm
I back Malky to pull through this sticky spell ,the man deserves the opportunity to keep us up this season .we all knew it would be tough he has made mistakes on some players and formations but he is still a relatively young manager managing a club with some fans and an owner who expects us to be in a champs leg position .the man deserves the full season to keep us in the prem for the sole reason for the way he has brought standards and organisation to the club which has in turn got the majority of the fans and players together as one
Sun Dec 08, 2013 12:55 pm
I'm behind him 100% he deserves a full season, but agree a shake up is in order! And a winger or two wouldn't go a miss in Jan!!!!!
Sun Dec 08, 2013 1:06 pm
I don't subscribe to this "Malky deserves the whole season" I'm afraid
What about what us fans deserve???
The feeble excuse that we were not clinical enough is actually insulting the intelligence of the fans - why can't he be open & honest to the fact that his defensive mindset is killing our chances in games we need to win.....
Julian Speroni is still waiting to make a save!!!
Stoke, Norwich, Villa, West Ham, Hull & yesterday were all "winnable" games and for each and every one of them he starts without a winger and only 1 striker!!!!!
I'm sorry but many of us have waited many, many years for the opportunity of seeing our beloved Bluebirds in this division and - right now, it's on brink of turning into a nightmare because of Malky's lack of ambition.
Before the comments on us playing weaker teams at home comes through - consider one thing - regardless of who we play at home, will Malky actually put a team on the pitch to win the game or one that is there not to get beat?? I'm afraid I think the latter.....
Ps. We need 6 points in next 4 matches to be on track for survival (20 Points after 19 games) - as it's a Sunday, let's pray!
Bluebirds!!!!!!

i can understand some of the coments after yesterday but now is not the time to panic i think we must remember we have got no divine right to think we can go to some of these places and expect to turn them over, but after saying that the performance was very poor at times it look as if our players had never played together before the back 4 could'nt string 2 passes together and medal was slow in thinking what to do and palace were catching him all the time, also whitts has to do more to be honest i thought mm had taken him off and i missed it, hopefully the team just a bad day when everybody had an off day and we can put it right next saturday against west brom

Good post.
Totally agree

Nice guy and I hope he turns it around but 6 wins in 27 games. These are the facts , look at reality with your head not your heart. One thing is for sure he isn't the only one to be criticised,. the players really need to step up. Their all on big money compared to the likes of us.

What's the alternative sack him now and throw the club into turmoil just before 3 massive home games which we are capable of winning.

Home is where we stay up.
Saturday against a mid table team will tell us a lot.
We played one mid table team and beat them, roll on the next.
The fans won't turn on him and we need to be strong as well.
The problem with these "live" away games is most of us watch them in the pub and come back half cut and overly emotional.
C'mon Malky sort it out

I would give him until the end of the year. We need to get 6 points out of the next 4 games, targeting wins against West Brom and Sunderland. Maybe start Odemwingie in the West Brom game as he will have a point to prove.
If we are in the bottom 3 come the new year then I can see a new manager coming in, who will have money to spend in January.

What happens if we bring someone in and he loses the games do you then want him out as well? Yesterday was bad really bad but we are about where we thought we'd be lets not panic and back the manager to the hilt.

Quick question. Were you happy when we won the league last year?
The reason I ask is because I've never seen a positive post from you.
Sun Dec 08, 2013 4:41 pm
Even if we get relegated he should stay to mastermind our return.
Sun Dec 08, 2013 4:42 pm
Just because he has done well in these past two years doesn't mean I'll blindly accept the dross that has been on show thus far. There is no room for sentiment in football.

Backing the manager, the team or even the chairman has never been a problem.
Going down without a fight and playing to win rather than not lose is.
Not saying we go gun-ho and throw caution to the wind because we'd get hammered.
But either stick to 4-5-1 using pace and width (Noone and Odemwingie) KEEPING IT ON THE DECK, or continue to play 4-4-2 and long balls to Campbell and Cornelius. But it has to be 2 up front. Can't rely on set pieces or we're fooked and MM will be on his way.
Sun Dec 08, 2013 6:55 pm
Im not backing that boring negative long ball shite
Sun Dec 08, 2013 6:57 pm
Do not give him transfer window. Waste of money

They are not mid table they are one place above us and on bad form and low in confidence. This is a must win game and will show us where we really are.
Looking forward to it, let's hope we go for it, we need a strong performance to calm some of the nerves

6 wins in 28 games is not brilliant reading. `Correct me if i'm wrong, but we didn't win one of our last 5 games in the championship.
Our football under Malky is the most boring of all the teams in the PL. Palace had their easiest game so far and to be fair they should've won by 4. When we played Norwich away they should've scored 10 and we should've lost at Stoke. We've been found out. i'm not confident of us even getting a result against West Brom now. Malky's tactics are too cautious. We have a good defence, but they are under the cosh too often, and this is because we lack pace and any threat going forwards which takes pressure off. Our only threat is set pieces and that is not going to keep us up at this level. We need to create more in open play.
6 from 28 is a pattern that's going to condemn us and for that reason alone we need to make the change now. Southampton did it and I think the time is now. I was a big Malky fan and feel sorry for him, because he got us promoted and it's tough, but I think he's showing he lacks the overall tactical nowse to keep us in the PL.

Cardiff city cannot afford more average players on big contracts under mackay watch. We need a new manager now. And new tactics.. i thought when malky came it would be like a breath of fresh air.new young fearless manager. How wrong. Hes ultra cautious . Most boring football i have ever seen. Long ball play the percentages shite. I still think we were lucky in a lot of games last season. I remember a few games we were battered and got away with a draw or 1.0 win..you cant get away with it at this level. His decisions baffle me. Long balls to campbell.whats the point.yes he runs and runs then the ball goes over his head.

Big month coming up. Yes the Palace Performance and result was bad but those results happen and will happen. This season has and will continue to be a rollercoaster. Those who are saying play two up front are just crazy especially away from home. For me the problem lies on the wings, I think Cowie does a brilliant job for the team and should be playing but the left wing is lacking pace.
