As were coming to the end of another year, this Forums fourth successful year there is always need for improvement and believe it or not we do listen to our members/posters, so any ideas of ways to improve this forum are always welcome

I think a few of us old timers find it a bit tricky using the pm - could it be made easier?

I'd make it invitation only with address or phone number provided or at least something that substantiates who you are. Other fans can browse the forum but unless your invited you can't post.

That will rid this forum of the cancer that is roathy.

Everyone knows how he derails threads and makes it all a waste of time. Unless this is addressed I fear you'll keep losing the better posters or at the very least they'll post less frequently.

If only there was someone who could give books as prizes for reaching a certain amount of posts.

One poster but maybe 20 usernames! When you're reading a good thread and that tw*t turns up I just stop reading cos I know that's the end of thread.

I second this, afterall if you've nothing to hide then having to provide some personal details shouldn't be a problem to most of us and it will clear this board of the freak roathie.

Ridiculous. It's an Internet forum. No need for all this.

There are many ways to stop new accounts spamming this forum that don't require this level of information.

New members must have their first few posts posts vetted by an admin before they are uploaded onto the forum.

This will deal with that sad wankstain roathy and other trolls.

Introduce a tag system (like Facebook) so if you have been mentioned in a thread you're notified.

New arrivals have first few posts vetted and approved before posted on main board.

Better identification on users as it would reduce the amount of Trolls and Wums.

New members can only read the forum for say 24hrs, whilst the account is checked.

the next 72 hours the poster can then only post a maximum amount of posts, i.e. 4 posts each day in total, not 4 posts a thread.

It allows people to introduce themselves and slowly interact with the forum users and posts making sure they post within the spirit of the forum.

That then stops trolls allows people to work out if its rothie or another idiot from those 4 posts, they can be banned, and threads arent derailed to badly.

I don't think vetting the first posts or having a 24 hour 'look only' policy would make any difference. The trolls aren't stupid they just make nice couple of posts before doing the usual derailing or just register a load account and use them after the 24. He obviously has issues being so obsessed with another teams forum.

Let's not focus to much on roathie tho, other ideas for the forum would be good

Can we change the board colour red please to keep up with the times?

A sub sticky with a generic post that gets sent to the forum of the team we are playing next inviting them to come on and banter would be interesting
Plus it would get visitor numbers up

How about a Roath Magic Witch-Hunt competition? The winner who finds him gets to partially drown him/it on an authentic working Witch-Ducking stool supplied by the kind folks at St Fagans Museum. They've also offered to run a second competition where the winner gets to put him in a Wicker Man and then burn the gimp at their new 'Wicker Wanker' event. Its the future.

In light of that, i would delete "football discussion board" and "all fans welcome" from the heading. Its clearly neither if both cause such offence.

Roathie uses proxy servers to get around that

The forum has improved the last month or so thanks to Annis and the moderators who ignored Mr Watkins relentless harassment via inbox

He hasn't been able to ruin a thread for a long time.

How about a reputation system whereas where you like a post you give a good rep or bad one?

Notification on when you've been quoted so you can go back to a thread and reply?

Get rid of the multiple replys as its mind boggling trying to understand it and it doesn't allow reply after 8 - 10.

Have a banned moderating section on why certain posters are banned and reason and length of time.

You'll need to register before viewing this forum/site will make people sign up and probably contribute to the forum.

Generally think that no posts should ever be removed or people banned or what is the point in having a forum?
