Sir Alex and Vincent

Spoke at length about the manager situation with SAF firmly in the Malky camp. Surely no better advice to take in football?

Unless you've a head of rock I suppose

Sadly, Tan is deluded so he probably won't take his advice.

I understand the sentiment you express, and I am no Tan apologist, but if as you say he is deluded, ask yourself this - is he deluded about the stadium expansion, the expensive players, the new training facilities at Hensol?

As I say I am not picking a pro or anti Tan argument mate, but I don't buy this idea he is deluded, as he has made some very rational, investment and expansion decisions which have had to have had widespread consultation, planning, teamwork - in other words, he has had to take advice.

Obviously none of us actually know the man so what do we know, and you may be right and all the other things I mention just happen to be lucky for us, but there again I don't think that is likely, is it?

I would take this as good news.

If he doesn't take notice of someone like Fergie then he really shouldn't bother. Top business people usually stay there by surrounding themselves with the best in their field.

The same Alex Ferguson who reckons Steven Gerrard isnt a top player :laughing6:

He is deluded to think, we could never have been promoted in blue, and is deluded to think our team should be towards the top of the table.

Ferguson said that he was never a 'top, top player'. But he was, though not now, like you say. Nevertheless, still a very good player.

VT inexperienced in football but far from a mug. AF's active advice and presence suggests MM is at least medium term. Reality check from a master for 'Diffs first PL season expectations and how to kick on for the long term. Bodes well. And I reckon the Blue will eventually be back. You'd be a football legend then (Right VT?). :ayatollah:

Is that a good thing or bad thing?

Personally he wanted to see someone there in the long term and also thinks highly of Scottish managers.

If VT got advice off SAF then there would be no doubt MM will be backed fully.

Malky's position looks far more secure than a few weeks ago but I worry that VT will pull the trigger if we hit a sticky patch.

If I'm reading this correctly you've hit the nail on the head GES. At the end of the day Malky is an employee of Cardiff City, if he doesn't produce the goods then he's down the road. Cardiff City are more than a Football Club, it's a million pound business, a few lefty sops hanging around the streets of Canton waving blue flags and bleating on internet forums ain't going to do jack shit.

Let some of the lefty CCMB folk drown in they're own drivel, the gypos' are a coming. Romanian pikeies, make the paddy pikeies look like heavenly neighbours.

Looked for better? The 'better' managers always go after 1-3 seasons. Mourinho for example if he was in charge and went on to win the UCL for United he would leave as he does for most of the clubs he done it with.

Ferguson and United want long term stability under a manager which I can understand.

Re: Sir Alex and Vincent

Fergies first season with United, he almost got the relegated. Then he became on of, if not, the best manager of all time. Moyes won't win anything this season (maybe league cup) but I think next season will be different.

I know thats what they want for but I dont agree with it.

i think they would have been better off with Mourinho and hoped to have found a better manager when he leaves.
