Cardiff city playing in red ,would people prefer playing back in blue but with a name change ? Or staying like we are ? Personal a name change is a no no for me

If Red Bull owned us we'd be playing in white. But I'd prefer us as we are. The colours changing is terrible but a name change would push me away from the club.

Re: cardiff red bulls playing in blue or

If it was a name change like Hull's (e.g Cardiff Bluebirds), and if it meant going back to blue, then I would take the name change.

I was trying to be polite, fella ;)

A CHANGE OF NAME IS AS BAD AS A CHANGE OF COLOUR...AND MAYBE WORSE!

Clear enough?

A name change is like starting a new club in my opinion. No thank you.

I'm not saying I would like it, but I would prefer it. Atleast we would have half of our proper name (our identity), unlike the scenario we are in now as we are just red (not blue and red).

Red called Cardiff City for me.

If the name changes then it's all but over.

I couldn't agree more (which is why JonCCFC's post surprised me) :ayatollah:

Re: cardiff red bulls playing in blue or

If the name means more to you than the colour to you then fair enough, but they both mean just as much to me as they both represent our identity :ayatollah:

Re: cardiff red bulls playing in blue or

Even a red and blue kit kit wouldn't satisfy me, If it's not Cardiff blue then it's not good enough.

Same here, but I would prefer it to just red.

No, mate, you said (and I quote): "I'm not saying I would like it, but I would prefer it"

Seems you've made a choice there and I resect that, but it just surprised me that someone with your 'commitment' to returning to blue "at all costs" would be able to separate the two issues :?

For me, I have always supported the football team known as "Cardiff City AFC" and not the football Club known as "The Team in Blue AFC"

Believe what you want, but this is not "having a go" and I'm not going to play 'Ping Pong' across the Forum all night, as I'm a little under the weather tonight and not really in the mood :ayatollah:

It wouldn't make any difference to me, we would look like Palace instead of Liverpool either way it's not Cardiff.

Why are you assuming that I want Cardiff to return to blue "at all costs"? That's not true at all.

I have always supported Cardiff City as well. If I wanted to support a club just because they played in blue then I would have a lot teams to choose from.

I agree that it still wouldn't look like Cardiff, but atleast a little bit of the real Cardiff would be added to the kit.

No-one said you didn't support Cardiff City FC, did they? :?

I was simply making the point that the NAME of any club reverberates around the footballing globe far more than the COLOUR they play in, yet you would find that 'acceptable' in return for a change back to blue

Your opinion and your right to have it. I was just surprised that someone as 'vocal' as you on the matter thought like that :?

Well Cardiff red bulls would be in the red bulls colours of blue and red, so it's a pathetic example. But I would take Cardiff City Bluebirds in blue over what we have now anytime.

Of course the name of a club reverberates more than the club's colours, but the club's colours are just as important in my opinion. What I'm trying to say is that I would 'prefer' a name change to 'Cardiff Bluebirds' (just like how Hull City are changing to 'Hull Tigers') if that meant our club's true colours returned, compared to the situation we're in now as we are a club with an identity crisis, a club that plays in red but are nicknamed 'the Bluebirds'. I'm not saying I would be 100% happy, but I think it would be better than our current situation.

All this is just my opinion, I'm sure the majority would disagree with me. :ayatollah:

Most of the red bull teams have white and red home shirts and blue and red away shirts. So there would be no way we would be able to go back to our Cardiff City blue if Red Bull bought us. But to be honest, I would take the name change to go back to blue, as long as Cardiff stayed in the name and there was no dragons or anything else referring to Tan and his rebrand involved with the name. If we went back to blue with Cardiff being scrapped from our name completely mind, I would have to reluctantly accept I would rather take what we have now.

I can see where your coming from but for me personally id relate just as much to all red as i could to half red half blue.
