Who do you think we are? Do you think we should be winning every game in out first season in the premiership? We're not arsenal, we're not man utd. You need to wise up, miserable whining and clueless. Would you rather we did a Blackpool? Attack attack and go down valiantly or stay up? If you want to win every game and watch attacking football I suggest you move to Barcelona.

We are cardiff fans mate, don't you know anything less than a top four finish, will be looked upon as a failure
Sun Nov 10, 2013 11:24 am
I dont think we should attack attack attack as you put it. Facing teams who we are competing with to avoid relegation we should at least try and show some ambition instead of hoping for a corner or free kick.

For fifty million quid i think its fair to ask to take on the lesser teams on a terrible run depleted by injury. Yes we have just been promoted but to counter that we have spent more than most.

Originally it was £26m, then it moved up to £36m and now 50?! We must have taken a loan from Wonga

Yeah thats how much Malky has spent in the last 18 months to mould this squad. We didnt get Kimbo for free you know. He was signed with a view to play in Malkys prem squad.
£14m last year and £34m this year isnt it? £48m.

One Andy Carroll then?

Ely boys right if we go gun ho attacking all the time especially away from home we'll be in the bottom 3 quicker than you can say syntax design is a chameleon.

Or 25 Michus. Depends how wisely you spend it. The resources Malky has had should have enabled him to feel confident enough to at least attack average teams for the 3pts.

You need a balance. And with the amount spent there should certainly be a semblance of balance.
There is none.

Was Michu that former goal scoring has been that used to play for the jerks.?

What does our club name got to do with anything? Get Burnley promoted and give them £100m to spend and they should be a top 10 club regardless of club name and being "just Burnley". We have Arsenal and Man Utd coming up and we are currently 3pts above relegation zone (maybe 2 come the end of today). We continue having 1 or 2 shots a game do you hinestly think we will be 13th for long? Blackpool were top of the league at one point, its a very short sighted view to look at our league position as that suggests. We are playing very badly week in week out and as of yet havent been punished as often as we should have been. Maybe im not the one needing awakening?

If Malky keeps us up on his first ever season in the Premier League, thats good enough for me.

we haven't spent 100 mill more like 30 and yet we're 2 points of 9th so going by your calculation malkys working miracles.
ding a ling,ding a ling ,wake up .
Sun Nov 10, 2013 12:16 pm
£48 million as ive just said. And the 4th highest amount in the premier league. We are also 3pts off 18th which with games against Man Utd and Arsenal is our most likely direction. If you think theres more chance of us reaching 9th after the next 2 games the ding a ling a ling right back atcha.

Everyone is forgetting something, 90% of the the Premier League clubs already had a Prem Squad to start with, they just needed to add to theirs, we had a Championship squad, so Malky had to start from fresh.

That's a great point Annis yet some seem obsessed with how much we've spent as a right of passage to guaranteed points in the PL. We have what we have, harping on about how much we've spent is irrelevant now. I'm more interested in who we will sign next and where we need to improve.

Cardiff City under the careful management of Mackay look more than capable of staying up.
It's also very clear that the players will "run through brick walls" for him.
It's just my opinion but I think that Cardiff City will stay up comfortably with Malky Mackay at the helm, sack him or if he leaves of his own accord, then I would say the odds on City getting relegated will greatly increase.
Cardiff City fans will only realise what they had when he's gone...

Majoroty and minority makes no difference apart from numbers on a poll. Tan is the single majority and what he thinks goes. Hes stuck £50m in Malkys spending coffers in the last 16 months and if he isnt seeing the performances that he wants to be the front of his brand then he will take action. There is nothing any of us can do about it so whether we agree or not is irrelevant.

Tan even said at the end of last season that our only goal for the our first season in the Premier League is to stay up. We're currently 13th.

We will be 14th after tiday whichever way the stoke / swansea result goes.
Then we have Man U and Arsenal so realistically cannot expect any points there.
If we lose both those games then we are behind a point a game. We dont look like scoring and have barely mustered a threat against Norwich and Villa in our last 2 away games.
Its not as rosy as your painting out.

I also cannot understand some fans wanting Malky out?? The guy has done superb for 2 years and has built a solid team that yes needs tweaking which I am sure he will do come Jan. We have missed our start striker who has been injured and I am sure would link the midfield better than anyone else at the club. Even poor Cornelious has taking some abuse for a half of game in the cup and some friendly games.
Malky is not perfect but I have never known a connection with fans and a manager since Eddie May to be so strong. He says all the right things, a dignified man with integrity! He has proven he is a good manager and deserves a full season to keep us up.
We are a working in progress on the field and if we can stay up will be stronger next year. Foundations are there for all to see! "Don't sack Mackay"
Tan calls the shots though and I think he may look at the Southampton situation and bring someone else in. Who is the big question as Tan is clearly uneducated when in comes to football and we don't have much football knowledge unless Dalman knows more than I think?
Back Malky and we will stay up!

We're 7th in the money spent this season list with 31mill not 4th.closely followed by man u 29,norw 27,and Swansea 26.
More interesting is squad costs.
Chelsea 373 mill
man city 369mill
man Utd 312
tot 206
liv 186
ars 182
villa 92
newc 83
sund 81
south 72
stok 71
ever 70
this is the most interesting,13th is Cardiff on 45mill and our position is 13th.And don't forget these other teams have had a head start on us,as annis said we're starting from fresh.

Good point Annis, villa are an established premier league team, we lost away from home. If people think we'll even finish in the top half they're crazy. As long as we finish 1 point above the relegation zone that will be a successful season.
